There are collectibles, and then there are collectibles. The $900 Ada Wong Resident Evil statue recently revealed by Darkside Collectibles is firmly in the latter category.
If you're not up to date on your Resident Evil lore, Ada Wong is one of the many characters that has made multiple appearances in the franchise. While she might not be as well-known as the Redfields or Wesker, she certainly makes an impact with her sensual style.
Check out this Resident Evil 2 remake PS4 trailer to see her in action:
Ada Wong is the kind of gal who will stroll into a situation, shoot a zombie dog in the face, and saunter away while snarking at Chris Redfield. In heels.
Suffice it to say, she's attracted quite a following — and that's probably why Darkside Collectibles has cooked up a very impressive Ada Wong Resident Evil statue. This collectible isn't for the faint of heart, though — it's going to cost you over $900, and that's if you can even get your hands on one in the first place.
What Do You Get with the Ada Wong Resident Evil Statue?
Priced at €799 including VAT — that's around $912.50 — this Resident Evil collectible is a big ask. Then again, it's a big collectible, too. This 1/4 scale statue stands at 19.7" (50 cm) tall, 9.8" (25cm) long, and 9.8" (25cm) deep. It weighs in at approximately fifteen and a half pounds. (That's around 7kg for the rest of you.)
The statue includes the following:
- A removable right arm holding a Tommy gun.
- A removable right arm holding a sniper rifle.
- A knife.
- Three interchangeable front portraits, including:
- One with glasses.
- One with short hair looking to the side.
- One with long hair looking to the side.
- A certificate of authenticity.
If you want to snap up one of these collectibles for yourself, you can pre-order the Ada Wong Resident Evil Statue for the price of one or two of your paychecks, probably. Shipping isn't included, either, so make sure to leave a little room for that in your budget, too.
The images we see here today are of a prototype build and not necessarily representative of the final product. Keep in mind that only 500 or fewer of these statues will be produced — if you really do want to get this collectible, you shouldn't wait. Alternatively, you can just buy the Resident Evil 2 remake on Steam and save yourself around $860.
