Inkle Studios, known for their work on 80 Days and Heaven's Vault, reveals their latest creation. A medieval narrative-driven strategic title under the name Pendragon. Players will get to experience a unique world that evolves with your choices. Pendragon adopts a dungeon crawler-inspired tile style for characters to move through, face events and other NPCs in the world, take decisions, and gather loot as they progress. Your main goal is to reach King Arthur and rescue him before Sir Mordred, a traitor who betrayed the fellowship of the Round Table reaches him before you.
Pendragon promises to deliver an "infinitely replayable" adventure with the amount of branching storylines generated from your dialogue choices and interactions with other characters. The title's art style is incredibly unique and sure to please those who look for an artistic medieval representation. The following is a brief list of features and overview of what the game has to offer:
- Journey across Dark Ages Britain to face wild creatures, brutal rogues, and Sir Mordred's dark knights. A randomized game board ensures every playthrough is new.
- Fight turn-based battles with simple yet deeply strategic combat where position is everything, losses are inevitable, and every step permanently shapes the narrative.
- Choose carefully: Pendragon's turn-by-turn story is built from your path across the board and your decisions on the battlefield -- as well as those of your enemies.
Pendragon doesn't have a set release date but is expect to arrive on Steam some time during the summer. In the meantime, make sure to check the teaser trailer below, featuring the game's characters and a brief overview of its storyline.
