You won't necessary need an Intel Core i7 processor to run Rocket League or any of the games in GMG's new "Game with Intel® Core™ i7" sale. That said, Intel is reminding you that games run well with one because you know - marketing. While Rocket League won't need a Core i7, one game in the sale certainly could use a beefier processor: Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege. The late 2015 title has somehow turned into 2016's shooter darling as it regains player population count with subsequent DLC updates.
Rocket League along with Rainbow Six: Siege are two of nine hot deals getting discounts up to 79% off in this Intel/GMG sale. In the case of the football meets Twisted Metal title, the price is a decent 44% off the usual $20 with a drop to $11.29. For Rainbow Six: Siege, you're saving as much as 52% off the Uplay copy of the game.

Another notable title worth mentioning is the February released Street Fighter V. In GMG's sale the price has been slammed to $28.79. That's a new historic low by about two bucks and much cheaper than the $36 we saw back in June during the Steam Summer Sale.
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is another title making an all new low in the sale. In this case, the Steam Summer Sale was only $18 and today's price about two bucks cheaper and an all time low by about a buck. This makes at least two 2016 release at their all-time lows.
The sale at GMG has a limited run and is slated to finish Monday morning at 11AM Eastern. That gives you the weekend to pick up some savings.
