Sega released more trailers of 404 Game Re:Set, the new mobile JRPG with NieR creator Yoko Taro at the helm.

The trailers introduce the second form (Cathode) of three of the girls who will be playable in the game,  Fantasy Zone, Virtua Fighter, and After Burner. We previously saw their "Anode" forms (for After Burner, Virtua Fighterand Fantasy Zone) on top of the Cathode forms of Out Run and Virtua Cop. As you may or may not already know, they're basically the waifu versions of the old arcade games by Sega.

Fantasy Zone is voiced by by Nichika Omori, who voiced Impero in Azur Lane. Virtua Fighter is voiced by Fairouz Ai, who is the voice of Jolyne Cujoh in the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series, Celis Ortesia and Ashen Lu in the Legend of Heroes series, and Yunaka in Fire Emblem Engage. Last, but not least, After Burner is voiced by Akari Kito, who recently lent her voice to Céline in Fire Emblem Engage on top of her roles as Provie in River City Girls 2, Shoka Sakurane in Neo: The World Ends With You, and Barbara in Genshin Impact.

You can check out the trailers below.

If you're unfamiliar with 404 Game Re:Set, also known as Error Game Reset, it's an upcoming mobile JRPG born of a partnership between Sega and Yoko Taro recently announced after a mysterious tease portraying a dystopian version of the world.

It's for iOS and Android and free-to-play, which means that it also comes with the inevitable gacha, which explains why Sega is taking its beloved franchises like Out RunAfter BurnerVirtua Cop, and Virtua Fighter, and turning them into waifus you can unlock.

They will form a resistance against a distorted world in which Sega itself has taken over. It's Yoko Taro all right. At the moment, a western release for this game has not been announced. We'll see if Sega will decide to bring it over down the line.
