Update: All three deals below are now unfortunately expired.
Your run of the mill Xbox One console has seen its price dive from $350 to $250 this year alone. But on the other hand, the PlayStation 4 has held steady and rarely receives a discount. There was one exception 2 weeks ago on eBay Deals with a drop to $279.99. While the PlayStation 4 deal sold out quickly, the good news is that it has made a return earlier today.
This is one of the rare chances to pick up a PlayStation 4 this Summer for less than the standard $350 list price. It's also a good time to reconsider the console, particularly if you're eyeing No Man's Sky. The much hyped title is a PS4 console exclusive (though it will also receive a PC release later this Friday).
Despite No Man's Sky popularity, we've spotted a great 20% off discount to $47.99. The culprit is NewEgg on their eBay Store front. The 20% off is as good as Amazon Prime and Best Buy Gamers Club Unlocked - both of whom requires paid memberships. There's a limited quantity of only 300 copies available, thus we expect the deal to be sold out within a few days.
PlayStation 4 and No Man's Sky Deals
No Man's Sky (PS4) — $47.99 (list $60)PlayStation 4 500GB Console — $279.99 (list $350)PlayStation 4 Black Ops 3 Bundle + No Man's Sky + Uncharted 4 — $399.99 (list $470)
Instead of grabbing the PlayStation 4 bundled with No Man's Sky, the ticket to savings may be buying separately. At list price, the console is $350 and the game is $60. This will run you $410, but picking up the NewEgg game discount with the eBay Deals PS4 discount will only cost you $328 ($82 less). Factor in potential sales tax savings and you'll be getting an even better deal.
Also notable is the aforementioned PS4 bundle with No Man's Sky. This bundle will cost you $399.99, which is obviously more than just buying the PS4 and No Man's Sky separately. However, the NewEgg bundle also gets you copies of Call of Duty: Black Ops III and Uncharted 4 - two popular PS4 titles for much less than you could buy all that content separately.
If you're interested in picking up No Man's Sky you may want to act fast. Even though you'll have to wait for shipping, many bargain hunters would prefer to save $12 out of the gate vs. paying a price premium just to play on release week. If you live close to a Newegg distribution center, you will most likely receive the game within a few days.
