Time flies when you're having fun, and who would have guessed it has been 26 years since the first wild Pokemon appeared! Not only has it been over two decades since then, but there have been over 1000 Pokemon discovered since that day.
In a cute eight-minute video, we not only get to see all of the different Pokemon that have been discovered over the years, but we also take a look at how much they have changed and evolved -- literally. It's crazy to see how we went from these little pixelated versions of some of the most iconic Pokemon characters to the 3D creatures we know today. Looking at how we went from black and white to full color is also a spectacle, especially for those who followed the game closely as the years went by.
There have been several Pokemon games that have been released since the first release in February 1996. The first to release was Pokemon Red and Green in Japan, and since then we have seen 121 more titles from the franchise. A game franchise going for this long is a huge feat in itself, and though there may be many clones, none of them compare to the real thing. Yes, the series has had its struggles over the decades -- we won't even mention the bugs in Scarlet and Violet -- but in the end, fans can't seem to get enough of throwing Pokeballs in hopes of adding a legendary to their Pokedex.
Hopefully, Pokemon continues to make its mark on the gaming industry for years to come, and fans of the games would agree that watching it from where it all began to the present time is a sight to behold.
