11 bit studios has announced some pretty impressive news relating to its financial situation. The Polish outfit had the second-best revenue quarter in its history during Q1 2020 and is ramping up investment in both its publishing arm and its internal development studios.

What's 11 bit studios' new project?

We don't know a huge amount about the new project as of yet. 11 bit studios says it's signed Summer in Mara developer Chibig and Effie creator Inverge to collaborate on a new game together, which 11 bit will then publish. Both Chibig and Inverge are based in Valencia in Spain. The new project is codenamed Ava, and beyond that, we'll just have to wait and see. 11 bit will doubtless reveal more information about the project as we get through the year.

In addition to Ava, 11 bit studios' publishing wing has three other projects in development. Project Vitriol is under development by Fool's Theory, a Polish developer which describes itself as "a company of AAA veterans" taking a break from huge productions. Spanish studio Digital Sun Games also has two games in the works for 11 bit studios: Project Botin and Project Foxhole. 11 bit is keeping these closely under wraps for now, but the studio says these projects have had around $6.3 million invested into them so far.

What about 11 bit studios' internal development projects?

11 bit studios is gearing up to release Frostpunk's last expansion On The Edge this summer.

Right now, 11 bit is working on three games internally. These are codenamed Project 8, Eleanor, and Dolly. Again, we don't know too much about the specifics of these projects, but 11 bit says it's invested $15.1 million into these internal efforts. This means that altogether, there are 7 projects currently in the oven at 11 bit studios with around $21.4 million being invested into them. There's also the new Frostpunk expansion On The Edge, which is poised to hit PC stores sometime this summer. All in all, it's looking like a pretty good time to be 11 bit studios.
