Nintendo has announced that a 10-minute The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom gameplay showcase will air tomorrow. The presentation will delve deeper into the systems and mechanics that will make up the long-awaited Breath of the Wild sequel, so if you've been hankering for more details, you won't have much longer to wait.
This news was revealed via the official Nintendo Twitter account. Nintendo confirmed news of the presentation alongside an image depicting longtime Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma sitting beside a Tears of the Kingdom logo. Aonuma will be your guide through the Zelda presentation, and it's hard to imagine a better person to tell all about the hotly-anticipated followup's gameplay.
What can we expect from the video? Nintendo says it'll last "roughly 10 minutes", and it'll air tomorrow morning. That's...pretty much all we know right now. We'll probably learn more about the game's overarching structure, as well as how systems like combat and exploration will work and how they'll differ from (or be similar to) Breath of the Wild.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was originally announced at E3 2019, where it was simply known as "Breath of the Wild sequel". The game was officially unveiled as Tears of the Kingdom during a Nintendo Direct presentation in September 2022, and information has been trickling out regarding plot details and gameplay since, although much is still not known about Nintendo's upcoming action-adventure epic.
Tears of the Kingdom will launch for Nintendo Switch on May 12th. You can pre-order it right now if you know you're going to pick it up on launch. Tomorrow's Tears of the Kingdom presentation will air at 7am Pacific (that's 10am Eastern) via the official Nintendo YouTube channel, so make sure to check back with TechRaptor then for more news. We're just as excited as you are!
