After her nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the 2024 Golden Joystick Awards we had a chance to talk to Briana White, who brings Aerith to life in the remakes of Final Fantasy VII and Crisis Core. In our discussion, we talked about bringing such a beloved character to life, how her approach to voicing Aerith has changed over the years alongside the character's development, and how her life has changed meeting fans from all across the world and being nominated for various awards.
Since talking to White, she was also nominated for Best Performance for the 2024 Game Awards, continuing her streak of recognition for her performances.
As well as discussing her experiences with Aerith, we also had a chance to talk about her gaming-focused Twitch account and YouTube channel, Strange Rebel Gaming, and what led to its initial creation.
