Extra Life

There's no shortage of need for great charities in the world, especially ones that help kids. Extra Life, a worldwide charity that benefits Riley's Childrens Hospital, has a local chapter in Indianapolis - and we sat down to talk with Oliver and Jake to talk about the organization, how it started, and plans for the future!

For those that don't know, Extra Life raises money through a yearly 24-hour gaming marathon for Riley Hospital for Children. Last year they raised over $4 Million for children that have been hospitalized and need extra care, and their goal is even higher as their numbers grow every year! If you're interested in participating, it's worth noting that the 24 hours don't have to be played all at once! Extra Life understands that everyone has busy lives, so if you'd like to break it up over a few days - that's fine!

Check out our interview for more information!

Extra Life raises the money through their website, offering volunteers their own pages to raise the money, much like FirstGiving (a site that does the same, but for a large number of charities). Sign up, and raise money all the way up until the day of the 24-hour marathon!

You can sign up here or follow them on Twitter and Facebook!

In the next few weeks, we'll be setting up a page of our own to raise money for the organization. Stay tuned for the button that will appear on the sidebar! Help us support this awesome cause!
