Our Zero Sievert Modules Guide will tell you how modules work, how to install modules in the bunker, and the best modules to use!
Sometimes, you won't be able to craft items or modify weapons in Zero Sievert — you'll need to install special modules into your base to make more complex items. Read on to learn all about base modules!
How Zero Sievert Modules Work
Zero Sievert modules are essentially workbenches that provide bonuses, special functionality, or allow you to Craft certain items. <odules must first be placed in the desired slot via the Device (press J). Then, you need to Craft the Level 1 version of that Module and use it in your inventory to actually install the Module and gain its benefits.
You can install a total of six Modules. Modules can be uninstalled, but you'll lose the Crafting materials used in making the Level 1 Module. Make your choices carefully so that you don't waste resources! The Storage Module cannot be uninstalled, but it can be upgraded.
How to Install Modules
Here's how to install Zero Sievert Modules:
- Press J to open up your Device while in the bunker.
- Click on the house icon to go to the Modules menu.
- Click on an empty square and select a Module to install.
- Once selected, hold down left-click over the text "Hold Here to Install." This will install the Level 0 Module.
- Go to the workbench and craft the associated Level 1 Module. For example, if you installed a Level 0 Bedroom, you'll need to craft a Level 1 Bedroom Module.
- Use the Level 1 Module in your inventory to actually install the Module and gain its benefits.
How to Uninstall Modules
You can uninstall modules by going into the Modules menu in the Device, clicking on the module, and clicking the "Uninstall" button.
What Are the Best Modules to Install in Your Base?
The best Modules to install in your base are the Bedroom, Ammo Producer, and Infirmary. The Bedroom gives you a bonus to leveling Skills, the Infirmary allows you to craft Medicine, and the Ammo Producer gives you Scrap Ammo and allows you to Craft Ammo.
Outside of these three, the other modules you choose depend on your playstyle. You can see what abilities are granted by each module in the module menu, and you can see which modules you'll need to craft items in the crafting interface.
