Zero Sievert Medication Guide - cover

This Zero Sievert Medication Guide will tell you how Wounds, Bleeding, and Radiation work, how to treat them, and the best Medication to use!

Zero Sievert Status Effects, Explained

Zero Sievert Medication isn't just used to restore your HP -- it's also used to treat negative status effects that can bring your life to a very quick end. Here's what you need to know:

  • Wounds - Wounds are a permanent reduction to your HP bar and are accumulated as you take damage. They won't go away unless they're healed with the appropriate Medication or by sleeping in a bed.
  • Bleeding - Bleeding drains your health gradually unless it's stopped. Bleeding can be fixed with the correct Medication.
  • Radiation - Radiation doesn't do damage by itself as of v0.26. However, having high Radiation will cause Bleeding to spontaneously appear again and again until you get your Radiation back down to safe levels. Radiation can be treated with the correct Medication or by returning to the bunker.

All of the HP-restoring items in the world won't matter if you don't have the proper Medication to treat them. Make sure to carry some of the basics!

Zero Sievert Medication Guide - How Medication Works

How Zero Sievert Medication Works

As you might expect, Medication in Zero Sievert can be used to either heal your HP, treat negative status effects, or both. Simply click the Medication in your inventory and use it. Keep in mind that some Medication slows (or entirely stops) your movement, so make sure you're in a safe place before you use it!

Medication can be placed on the Hotbar below your equipment in the inventory. Make sure to keep Medication there when you can -- it can help save you a few precious inventory spaces! (Unfortunately, Medication on your Hotbar still counts towards your Weight total.)

How to Get Medication in Zero Sievert

There are three ways to get Medication in Zero Sievert:

  1. Crafting it
  2. Purchasing it from the doctor in the bunker
  3. Looting it from chests or dead enemies

What Medication Should You Carry in Zero Sievert?

At the minimum, you should carry an item to stop Bleeding and an item to heal HP in Zero Sievert. A few Improvised Medkits and a few Bandages should be enough for your first few runs.

Later levels, however, introduce new hazards and will take longer to explore. It's a good idea to start regularly carrying Anti-Rad Pills once you start exploring areas after the Forest such as the Makeshift Camp and Industrial Area-- Radiation becomes a much bigger threat in later zones.

What is the Best Medication in Zero Sievert?

The best Medication in Zero Sievert depends on what you want to treat.

  • HP - The best Medication to heal HP is the Modern Medkit which heals 100 HP.
  • Bleeding - The best Medication to treat Bleeding is Anti Bleed Gel -- it removes 2 Bleeding debuffs with one use.
  • Wounds - The best Medication to treat Wounds is the Professional Medikit. It removes a whopping 40 Wounds.
  • Radiation - The best Medication to treat Radiation is the Teal Injector. It increases your defense against Rads and reduces Rads at the rate of 1 per second.
