What You Need to Know About the Zero Sievert Mall

Make no mistake, the Zero Sievert Mall is undeniably the most dangerous location in the game. The Mall itself is filled with mutants (including multiple Bigs), Hunters, and Bandits, all of whom are engaged in a three-way battle. There's also Kibba, a heavily-armed boss with a PRK-16.

And if that doesn't sound bad enough, there's the Mall Basement. It's all of the chaos of the surface... in the dark.

The Mall is not for the faint of heart. You should not even consider exploring it unless you are very confident in your Armor and Weapon(s). If you can brave this location and make it out alive, though, you'll be able to get some of the best loot in the game.

Zero Sievert Mall Map

The Mall Map is randomly generated to a degree as with other maps. It's a dangerous enough location as it is -- explore with caution!

Zero Sievert Mall Locations

Here are the locations you can find in the Mall.

Bandit Camp

One or two Bandit Camps can be found outside of the Mall, although the vast majority of the Bandits are inside of the Mall itself.

Containers

You may occasionally find a small group of containers out in the middle of nowhere with a loot chest.

Fire Crystal Field

As always, you can get some Fire Crystals from these areas as long as you don't mind a little radiation and burning.

Mall

Somewhat unsurprisingly, the Mall is the centerpiece of the Mall map. Roving bands of Hunters and Bandits are in constant battle with mutants of all sizes. This is, without a doubt, the most dangerous area in the entire game as of v0.26.

On the upside, that danger is balanced out by some pretty sweet rewards. The shops in the Mall are packed to the brim with loot. Some of the best loot is secured away behind locked doors, though.

Mall Basement

The Mall Basement is even more dangerous than the Mall itself due to the fact that it is pitch black. Make sure you have a source of light before attempting to explore it. Expect to potentially fight a dozen or more enemies at once in close quarters.

Parking Lot

The Parking Lot is found to the left, right, and bottom of the Mall. Large bands of Ghouls can be found spread throughout the area, along with the occasional loot chest.

Railyard

The Railyard is located behind the Mall. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to have much loot.

Warehouse

The Warehouse can be found behind the Mall. It's protected by a handful of Bandits and has a small amount of loot.

Zero Sievert Mall Enemies

Here are the enemies you'll fight in the Mall.

Bandit

Bandits can be found protecting the Warehouse and occasionally in Bandit Camps outside of the Mall. However, they are much more present within the Mall itself, typically traveling in groups of 2-3.

Big

The Big is a gigantic creature with a massive mouth on its head. In earlier maps, you may have encountered one Big at a time. Now, you can expect to fight 2-4 at a time if you're unlucky -- there are easily 6-12 of these creatures running around in the Mall and the Mall Basement.

Blink

A handful of Blinks can be found outside of the Mall, but most of them are in the Mall Basement. These creatures are big, they move fast, and they hit hard.

Boar

Unlike other maps, Boars tend to travel in groups in the area outside of the Mall. Make sure you have enough ammo in your magazine to kill them all or you'll be in a lot of trouble.

Hunter

Hunters are a lot more trigger-happy in the Mall map -- an understandable sentiment considering the horrors inhabiting this massive structure.

Ghoul

Ghouls can be found in the Parking Lot outside of the Mall in large groups. Many, many more can be found inside all throughout the Mall.

Infestation

As elsewhere, Infestations will continue to spawn Ghouls until you destroy them. Always prioritize destroying them -- you don't want to get overrun!

Kibba

Kibba is a tough solo fighter who can be recognized by his black helmet with two vertical white stripes. He is equipped with a heavily-modified PRK 16 and, more critically, the Key to the Gun Store.

Where to Use the Key to the Tech Store in the Mall in Zero Sievert

You can use the Key to the Tech Store in the Mall in the back of the Tech Store. This gets you access to a storage room with a fair amount of tech-related Crafting materials.

Where to Use the Key to the Svaruski Shop in the Mall in Zero Sievert

You can use the Key to the Svaruski Shop in the Mall in the back of the Svaruski Shop. This opens up access to the storage room which has a fair amount of vendor trash and Roubles.

Where to Use the Key to the Gun Store in the Mall in Zero Sievert

You can use the Key to the Gun Store in the Mall in the back of the Gun Store. This opens up access to a massive storage room filled with Weapons and Ammo. The Key is consumed upon use.

Where to Use the Key to the Office Room in the Mall Basement in Zero Sievert

You can use the Key to the Office Room in the Mall Basement in the Mall Basement. This gets you access to some nice loot. The Office Room was located in the bottom center of the Mall Basement when I played.

Where to Use the Key to the Turbine Room in the Mall Basement in Zero Sievert

You can use the Key to the Turbine Room in the Mall Basement in the Mall Basement. The Turbine Room is pretty easy to spot since there are gigantic turbines inside of it. Unfortunately, you can expect to encounter multiple Bigs in the immediate area (plus whatever else might find you.) The Turbine Room was located to the top left of the Mall Basement when I played the map.

Where to Use the Key to the Extraction Point in the Mall Basement in Zero Sievert

You can use the Key to the Extraction Point in the Mall Basement in the Mall Basement. A chain link fence protects an innocuous storage room. However, this is actually an Extraction Point -- head inside and you'll be able to leave the map without having to run all the way back outside. The Extraction Point was located roughly to the top right of the Mall Basement when I checked it out.
