Where to find the Shield in Tunic

We wouldn’t blame players if they didn’t know where to find the Shield in Tunic, as the entire game is an open-ended experience where your adventurer can go in any direction after getting your first real sword, and well, it’s not exactly laying out there on the path. If you’re having trouble finding it, then don’t worry — we’ve got you covered with this step-by-step guide. Follow this guide on where to find the Shield in Tunic.

Tunic Key Location

The first thing you’ll have to do is find a golden key. Any golden key will work in the locked door that we’re going to guide you to, but if you’re at the start of the game and you don’t have one yet, then you can find one laying on the ground near some pig men at the location we’ve marked on the map above. You can either fight your way through the various enemies, or run and dodge your way to the key, and then get out of there.

Once you’ve got your precious gold key, you’ll need to make your way up to the old house, where you can now open the front door. You have to have opened a door this before to get to the hero’s sword and leave the starting area, so you’ll undoubtedly know what to do when the prompt comes up.

Tunic Old House Passage

Now that you’re inside the home, you can loot the chest for the measly 1G inside. After that, go through the doorway under the red curtain, and you’ll find yourself in an ominous-looking corridor. It looks far worse than it actually is because well, to be honest, it’s a straight-line path and there are no enemies in there. You should be able to just make your way to the other end of it with no trouble at all.

On the other side of the corridor, you’ll find yourself in a shadowy room that has the same kind of spooky aesthetic. On the floor across the hastily made wooden plank bridge will be the shield, which you can pick up with your action button.

Congratulations, you now have the shield! Enemies are going to find it much harder to mess with you now.
