Where to Find All Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Dataslates

Our guide will show you where to find every Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Dataslate, across both the Campaign and Operations modes.

Dataslates in Space Marine 2 are a collectable that can be found in each mission of the Campaign and Operations modes. There are 35 Dataslates to find in total, with the ones you've collected being viewable in the Dataslate Repository.

Every Space Marine 2 Dataslate Location

Dataslates are split across both the Campaign and Operations, which we've outlined below, by each section of the game for easy finding.

Tip: For any completed missions, Dataslates you've missed will be shown as "?"s in the Dataslate Repository. You also don't have to complete a level to register a Dataslate as collected, so you can exit early if you're just cleaning up ones you've missed the first time.

Campaign Mode Dataslates

Skyfire

Stormtalon Crash, Kadaku - After taking out the initial wave at the start and being sent to the next area, head left behind the large tree.

Admission of Desertion - At the section with the broken bridge, head to the other side then jump down from the ledge to the left of the watchtower. The dataslate is directly in front of where you land.

Anti-Tyranid Offensive, Kadaku - After making it through the large door, head through the next door. At the split path, go straight ahead rather than down the right path with the lit fan.

Desired Purgation of Data - While heading to activate the targeting systems, don’t go up the elevator. Instead, take the right path to reach the dataslate behind it.

Severance

Conflict, Adeptus Astartes/Tyranid, Kadaku - In the first arena with a bridge near the start. Instead of going the right path and across the bridge, head left up the slope and behind the ruined vehicle.

Tyranid Attack, Designation: Rippers, Kadaku - After entering the facility, go straight ahead rather than right to the elevator.

Lamentation For Sacred Machines - Inside the facility, shortly after the section where you restore power. Interact with the keypad to open the door, then head towards the lit fan inside.

Summary, Tyranid Invasion, Kadaku - After getting thrusters, go through the initial section that requires you to head up the cliffs. After going into the cave, boost upwards before the section where you drop down. The dataslate is on a ledge above.

Machinus Divinitus

Attempted Liturgy For Burnt Capacitor - After extending the small bridge, cross over then go left. The dataslate is on the roof at the end.

Termination: 101010-S - After crossing the loading bay and going down into the facility, keep going until you drop down into the tunnels. Follow the path until the split, then go right instead of left.

Improper Command - After waiting for the locked door to open, head straight and to the right.

Servant of the Machine

Cannon Maintenance, 1.002.81 - After heading up the first elevator, go left and behind the elevator to find the dataslate.

Tithe Collection, Avarax - Directly after the section where you help Chairon, go straight ahead down the rubble path, past the pathway to the left. The dataslate is behind the pillar.

Voidsong

Potential Heresy, Adeptus Astra Telepathica, 2287.8 - Head left after reaching the large locked door that needs to be powered on. Past the weapon cache is the dataslate.

Potential Heresy, Adeptus Astra Telepathica 2288.2 - Go through the first section after getting the jetpack. Then after opening the large door, fly up to a ledge on the right.

Potential Heresy, Adeptus Astra Telepathica 2289.5 - After entering the relay sanctum, keep going until you reach the burning mass. Turn around, and the dataslate it to the left of the stairs.

Dawn’s Descent

Effects of Noctilith Exposure - Before entering the cathedral, go left.

Tomb Excavation, Analog Backup Log 8.6 - After the jetpack section, go down the stairs and head left. The dataslate is at the end of the leftmost path, to the right of the statue.

Tomb Excavation, Analog Backup Log 8.7 - When you reach the cave with the metallic walkway at the entrance (the part right before the arena where you call for the elevator), turn around. There is a small side section with the dataslate.

Tomb Excavation, Analog Backup Log 9.9 - As you advance towards Aurora, there’s a section where you turn left and go towards the pyramid-like structures. If you look right before this, there’s a dataslate next to a dead body.

Bellum Sempiternus

Effects of Warp Exposure - After going through the soldiers and dropping down into the ruins, head forward and then left. The dataslate is next to a crouching soldier.

Burial, Adeptus Astartes, Salamander Chapter - During the “Advance to the Second Force" objective, just before opening the locked door, head to the back of the room to find a dataslate.

Amount of Deceased on Demerium - After the second pillar is activated, you’ll enter a small ruined room. There’s a body to the right behind some rubble, next to a dataslate.

Operations Mode

For the Operations Mode, it's worth noting that the launch version of Space Marine 2 does not have a way to disable matchmaking. If you want to search for Dataslates without having other players join, make sure to disconnect from the internet first (on Steam, you can just choose the "Go Offline..." option in the main Steam menu before launching Space Marine 2.)

Inferno

Amelioration of Improper Ordnance Storage - After making it through the first arena of enemies, you’ll eventually come across a bridge overhead. Just before this, head right and into the building to find a dataslate at the back.

Admiration of Promethium - In the large flooded room, take the upper path before the elevator. The dataslate is on a table in between the machinery.

Decapitation

Final Sermon - After entering the building at the start, head up the stairs, and then the second set. Before leaving the building, go to the back of the building by the balcony. There's a dataslate to the left.

Bridge Construction, Overseer Commentary - During the section where you pursue the Hive Tyrant. Head into the tunnels, then follow the path until the second left turn. Go right here, and there is a dataslate behind a crate.

Vox Liberatis

Creation of Daemonhost, I - After going up the first elevator, head down the ramp then go left. Keep going straight until the end, then go left to find the dataslate.

Creation of Daemonhost, II - After taking the large elevator down to the lower floor in the cathedral, head right before leaving to grab a dataslate.

Reliquary

Servitor Greeting, Demerium - Once you reach the locked door with the green symbol, head up the stairs to its left. The dataslate is at the back.

Heretic Attack, Demerium - After making it through the locked door and going down the elevator, make it through the burning path to the next building. Head right, and then right again to find the dataslate on the metal walkway.

Fall of Atreus

Unauthorised Override Attempt - After following the dreadnought and entering the building, activate the machine to move the rubble and drop down. Instead of going forward towards the objective, turn around and head to the back of the room to find the dataslate.

Status: Battle Barge, Sword of Atreus - As you head to the main compound, you’ll go up a number of metal ramps. Just before you reach the top of this section, there’s a small area to the left with a dataslate.

Ballistic Engine

Missing Servo-Hauler - After going through the locked door after the first sandstorm section, stick to the right. You’ll end up in a room containing the first dataslate.

War Preparation, Avarax - After heading through the wrecked trainyard, look for a tank near the train covered in flesh. It’s on the opposite end of the area from where you drop down at the start, close to the ammo cache.
