Voidtrain Rofleemo Guide

If you’re not already familiar with them, the Rofleemo are tiny little creatures that float around Depots in Voidtrain. You can release them from their amber prisons, and if you’ve got the right set of equipment, they’ll join you on your train and provide you with various functions. Voidtrain Rofleemo Guide

The Rofleemo (Yes, that’s what they’re called) are useful and cute, a deadly combo. Not only do they provide buffs to your various pieces of equipment, but they hang around your train looking adorable and interacting with each other, which is a nice visual change. They can be a bit confusing the first few times you interact with them, though, so we’ve listed the basic for you below. 

How do I Get a Rofleemo in Voidtrain?

If you want to get a Roftleemo, then you’ll first need to play through the story up until a certain point. When you hit your 3rd or 4th Depot, you’ll be asked to explore it a little, and eventually, you’ll come across a giant chunk of Amber you need to pick up. This amber contains your first Rofleemo. You’ll need to take it to the extraction machine that is sitting on the platform and put it inside to release your new friend. 

How to Tame Rofleemo

After your first one is unlocked, you’ll find at least one Rofleemo at most of the Depots you come across in Voidtrain. There’s a very simple process to get more of them on your train, which you’ll have to do each time you meet a new one. 

1. Pick up the amber sitting in the little holder on the station.
2. Put the amber into the extraction machine and push the button.
3. In a few seconds, your new friend will pop out.
4. Build a new Rofleemo bed on your train. 
5. Go and pick up the Rofleemo to get him to join your crew.

Here's what you'll need to build a Rofleemo Bed for a quick reference. Make sure you have these in your inventory before heading into a depot. 

• 1 Leather
• 2 Wood
• 1 Bolt

Why Can’t I Place a Rofleemo Bed?

If you’re struggling to place your bed, even if you’ve got plenty of space, then you’re probably not meeting the proper criteria. You can only place a single bed on each section of the train, so if you’ve only got two carriages and the first is completely taken up by a steam engine, then you can only fit 1 Rofleemo aboard. Assigning Jobs to Rofleemo in Voidtrain 

Each Rofleemo will provide you with various different benefits depending on what class they are. Some boost cooking, others research, etc. You’ll also have to keep them happy if you want to get the bonus, as their happiness is what defines how much of a buff you get.  If you want to assign a Rofleemo to a job, then go up to a machine and hold the button to open the worker assignment screen. Select the Rofleemo you want to assign to any given role, then exit. As long as you keep your friends happy, they’ll keep buffing your various stations. 

Making Rofleemo Happy

If you want to keep your Rofleemo happy, then you need to take care of their needs. Firstly, you need to make sure you have enough food for them to eat every time you leave a Depot. Each Rofleemo will eat one unit of food automatically, so all you have to do is make sure you have some cooked organics in your storage, and you’ll be good to go. 

To boost their happiness beyond that, you’ll need to decorate your train a little and try to get your hands on some mushrooms. Decorations boost happiness, as do mushrooms since they’re a Rofleemo’s favorite treat (apparently.)
