Video Game Releases for March 2019: Devil May Die Twice

March is an absolutely bumper month for Video Games with a huge number of big name titles releasing this month on all of the major consoles. What will you be picking up this month?

 

March 1st

Toejam and Earl Back in the Groove (Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch)

A new Rogue-like from one of the creators of the original Toejam and Earl, Tomejam and Earl Back in the Groove comes to Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on March 1st. This time you can play in up to 4 people couch or online co-op.

Dawn of Man (Microsoft Windows)

Coming out first on Microsoft Windows although coming later to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One Dawn of Man will be released on March 1st. This is a strategy game where you lead early man and help him survive through time.

Dead or Alive 6 (Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4)

The sixth mainline release in the Dead or Alive fighting series, Dead or Alive 6 comes to Microsoft Windows, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on March 1st. Dead or Alive 6 claims to move the series further away from titillation and further into the realm of serious fighters.

March 5th

R.B.I Baseball 19 (Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch)

Coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on March 5th we have R.B.I Baseball 19. This edition updates players and uniforms for the current year and allows you to manage teams across seasons.

Eternity: The Last Unicorn (Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4)

Out for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 also on Match 5th we have Eternity: The Last Unicorn. This RPG is based on Norse Mythology and sees you trying to set the last unicorn free.

The Occupation (Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4)

Releasing for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 on March 5th we have The Occupation. The first person narrative set in England where you play a whistle-blowing journalist.

Left Alive (Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4)

The latest by Square Enix Left Alive comes to Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4 on March 5th. Veterans in the industry worked on this all-new action shooter.

March 6th

Gungrave VR (HTC Vive, Oculus Rift)

A sequel in the Gungrave series in VR

Released back in December for PlayStation VR Gungrave VR now comes to HTC Vive and Oculus Rift on March 6th. The shooter series is back after a 16-year hiatus.

 

March 8th

Kirby's Epic Yarn (Nintendo 3DS)

For the first time on modern consoles, Kirby's Epic Yarn moves from Nintendo Wii to Nintendo 3DS on March 6th. This updated version adds new abilities and new gameplay modes featuring Metaknight and King Dedede.

Devil May Cry 5 (Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4)

The long-awaited sequel in the Devil May Cry series, Devil May Cry 5 comes to Microsoft Windows, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on March 8th. The director of most of the series (save the original) Hideaki Itsuno has returned to create the fifth installment.

March 12th

The Caligula Effect Overdose (Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch)

An updated version of the original The Caligula Effect, The Caligula Effect Overdose comes to Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on March 12th. This visual novel RPG is from the writer behind the Persona 2 games.

LEGO Marvel Collection (Xbox One, PlayStation 4)

The LEGO Marvel Collection comes to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on March 12th. This collection will include, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 1 and as well as LEGO Avengers and all of the DLC which has been released for those titles.

March 13th

Baba is You (Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch)

Indie darling Baba is You comes to Microsoft Windows and Nintendo Switch on March 13th. In this game rather than learning the rules, you change the rules to reach your objective.

March 15th

Tom Clancy's The Division 2 (Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4)

The sequel to the 2016 release, Tom Clancy's The Division 2 comes to Microsoft Windows, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on March 15th. This adds a who new story to The Division's world.

One Piece: World Seeker (Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4)

A new One Piece game, One Piece: World Seeker comes to Microsoft Windows, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on March 15th. This action adventure title can be played in co-op.

March 19th

SNK 40th Anniversary Collection (PlayStation 4)

Released for Nintendo Switch last year, SNK 40th Anniversary Collection comes to PlayStation 4 on March 19th. This collection contains 24 games from SNK's classic library.

Fate/Extella Link (Microsoft Windows, PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch)

Following on from Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star, Fate/Extella Link comes to Microsoft Windows, PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on March 19th. There will be a single player story and a 4 vs 4 online battle mode.

March 20th

Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! (PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch)

A spin-off from the popular Final Fantasy series of games, Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy!  comes to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on March 20th. This is a remake of Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon designed for modern systems.

March 21st

We. The Revolution (Microsoft Windows)

Releasing initially for Microsoft Windows on March 21st and claimed to come to Nintendo Switch later this year is We. The Revolution. In this simulation, you play as a judge during the French Revolution.

March 22nd

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4)

From the makers of the SoulsBorne series Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice comes to Microsoft Windows, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on March 22nd. While it will contain similar difficult gameplay From Software is known for it has a new setting in feudal Japan.

Unravel Two (Nintendo Switch)

Coming out last year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows Unravel Two comes to Nintendo Switch on March 22nd. The sequel to Unravel this title is based on two player gameplay as opposed to single player.

March 26th

Generation Zero (Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4)

One of a huge line up coming out on March 26th we have Generation Zero for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. This is an action shooter taking place in 80s Sweden.

MLB The Show 19 (PlayStation 4)

The second baseball game this month MLB The Show 19 comes to PlayStation 4 on March 26th. This title claims to offer a more RPG based experience.

Our World is Ended (Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch)

Coming out in Japan back in 2017, Our World is Ended heads West on March 26th for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. This visual novel follows a development team in Tokyo who create a new kind of AR technology.

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series - The Final Season: Episode 4 - Take Us Back (Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch)

While Telltale is no more, The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series - The Final Season: Episode 4 - Take Us Back releases for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on March 26th. It is claimed to be the last episode in Clementine's story.

Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists: Ateliers of the New World (Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch)

New from Koei Tecmo  Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists: Ateliers of the New World comes to Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on March 26th. A spin-off of the Atelier series it features many previous popular characters.

Danganronpa Trilogy (PlayStation 4)

A PlayStation 4 exclusive the Danganronpa Trilogy will come out on March 26th. This collection will include Danganronpa 1.2 Reload and Danganronpa V3 in one set.

Final Fantasy VII (Nintendo Switch, Xbox One)

Following the success of Final Fantasy IX's release on Nintendo Switch and Xbox One, Final Fantasy VII is the next to be ported to these consoles on March 26th. The classic PSOne title is probably the most popular installment in the series.

The Princess Guide (PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch)

From NIS America The Princess Guide comes to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on March 26th. In this RPG title, you a knight choose a Princess to come along as your apprentice.

March 28th

The World Next Door (Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, Nintendo Switch)

A narrative focused indie adventure The World Next Door comes to Microsoft Windows, Mac OS and Nintendo Switch on March 28th.

March 29th

Yoshi's Crafted World (Nintendo Switch)

The follow up to Yoshi's Woolly World, Yoshi's Crafted World comes to Nintendo Switch on March 29th. Instead of just yarn Yoshi now uses a variety of craft materials to platform his way through the world.

Assassin’s Creed III Remastered (Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4)

Planning to release on Nintendo Switch in May, Assassin's Creed III Remastered first comes out on Microsoft Windows, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on March 29th. This includes all previously released titles and stand-alone game Assassin's Creed Liberation.

Tropico 6 (Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Mac OS)

Coming to consoles later this year Tropico 6 comes first to Microsoft Windows, Linux and Mac OS on March 29th. In this strategy game, you aim to steer the world away from political turmoil.
