The Serpent Rogue Potions Guide | Ingredients & Recipes

A core part of gameplay in The Serpent Rogue, creating potions can be used to deal or heal damage, change form, and more. In order to discover the attributes of an ingredient, players will need to research them a certain number of times until an attribute is determined. How To Craft Potions In The Serpent Rogue

The Serpent Rogue's crafting system is fairly simple. Whether you use the Lab in the Abandoned House, or your Portable lab, you'll need to research ingredients before you can craft with them. Once you know the attribute of an ingredient, it's as simple as selecting the right combinations of 2-3 ingredients to make a potion, with those ingredients broken out in the section below!

Core Potion Ingredients

Add

• Ingredient: Berries
• Found: Abandoned House, The Camp
• Effect: "Adds" something based on Ingredient 2 and/or 3.

Remove

• Ingredient: Tea Leaves
• Found: Abandoned House, The Shop (sometimes, rare, 20 at a time)
• Effect: "Removes" something based on Ingredient 2 and/or 3.

Change

• Ingredient: Mandragore
• Found: The Wasteland, near rocky formations.
• Effect: "Changes" something based on Ingredient 2 and/or 3. Used in Form potions.

5 Modifier:

• Ingredient: Egg Shell
• Found: The Wasteland, The Swamp
• Effect: Modifies an effect (such as add/remove) by 5.

10 Modifier:

• Ingredient: Fishbone
• Found: Abaondoned House, The Swamp, fishing pool. Use worms from nearby log.
• Effect: Modifies an effect (such as add/remove) by 10

20 Modifier:

• Ingredient: Claw
• Found: Hounds, Gorgon (West of Wasteland), Valravn (North Swamp), Dobhar-Chu (West Swamp)
• Effect: Modifies an effect (such as add/remove) by 20

Vitality

• Ingredient: Aloe
• Found: The Wastelands, The Swamp, The Camp
• Effect: Add/Remove Vitality

Food

• Ingredient: Sap
• Found: The Swamp, Explacidia (floating bug)
• Effect: Used for Satiate potions to add/remove food.

• Create Potions (Summoning) - Create a creature from nothing, simply throw this on the ground!
• Form Potions (Transmutation) - Allows you to transform into this creature.

Chicken Potions

• Create Chicken - Add + Chicken
• Chicken Form - Change + Chicken
  • Lay eggs by pressing Block. Small Inventory.

Toad Potions

• Create Toad - Add + Toad
• Toad Form - Change + Toad
  • Grab far away items by holding Block Small Inventory.

Ghoul Potions

• Create Ghoul - Add + Toad
• Ghoul Form - Change + Toad
  • Fast moving form, normal inventory size, fast attacks.

Hound Potions

• Create Hound - Add + Dog
• Hound Form - Change + Toad
  • Holding block adds Wound on Next Attack. Fast, medium inventory.

  • Able to burrow into holes around the world. Small Inventory.

Snake Potions

  • Holding block does a poison attack. Small Inventory.

  • Fast, medium inventory. Holding block will turn your enemies to stone.

  • Normal Inventory. Extremely tall and can traverse deep water. Holding block does an AOE attack.

Valravn
