Our Sengoku Dynasty Marriage Guide will tell you how to get married to one of your villagers and what you need to do to have children with your spouse.
There's more to Sengoku Dynasty than leveling up your perks and exploring the map. Eventually, you're going to want to settle down with someone you love and have a kid. This process isn't quite clear, but we've got you covered — read on to learn all about marriage and having kids!
How Sengoku Dynasty Marriage Works
The Sengoku Dynasty marriage system allows you to take a spouse of the opposite sex and eventually have a child with them. As you are both refugees, however, your spouse will not be up for any sort of nonsense and will be extremely cautious about jumping right into a marriage with someone they barely know.
You'll have to complete a lengthy quest chain to marry someone called the "Family Quest" — here's how to do it!
How to Get Married in Sengoku Dynasty | Family Quest
Here's how to get married in Sengoku Dynasty, step by step:
- Achieve Dynasty Level 8
- Speak to one of your villagers of the opposite sex and announce your interest
- Collect 20 flowers (such as Yellow Chrysanthemum) and give them to your potential spouse
- Buy or craft 2 Vegetable Meals and 2 Sake and give it to your potential spouse
- Unlock and build a Tailor Shop
- Unlock and craft Elite Clothes (1,200 Coins to unlock, 40 Linen to craft)
- Collect 5,000 Coins
- Give the Elite Clothes and 5,000 Coins to your Spouse
- You will now be married.
Although you are married, this is not yet the end of your journey — you can have children next!
How to Have Children in Sengoku Dynasty
Having children in Sengoku Dynasty is a continuation of the "Family Quest." After you're married, you must speak with your spouse about having kids. Once you make the decision, you'll have to complete multiple additional steps to birth and care for your child.
Essentially, the children quests follow this pattern:
- Talk to your spouse
- Get your spouse certain items, such as medicine or luxury goods
- Wait 1 or more seasons
This loop repeats quite a few times, so you should expect this quest to take several in-game years at the minimum. It's best to focus on running your village while you're waiting for the next stage to activate.
Unfortunately, the "dynasty" mechanic that allows you to keep playing as your child does not yet exist in Sengoku Dynasty as of Version 1.0; look forward to it arriving in a future update.
