Early on in Resident Evil Village, you’ll need to navigate the corridors of Castle Dimitrescu, while Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters stalk you relentlessly. After making your way through the Opera House you’ll come upon the Atelier, which suddenly stops your progress with an impromptu bell puzzle. Reading the note attached to the painting in the room reads “Let the bells of this chamber ring out,” meaning you’ll need to shoot all five bells. Luckily, they’re all pretty easy to find with a bit of direction.

The first bell is simply straight ahead when you walk through the door, sitting on a side table. Simply shoot it once and it’ll ring, there’s no need to shoot it, or any of the other bells, more than once.
For the second bell move slightly to the left of the table the first one is sitting on. Look straight up for a small window to the right of the gears, and you’ll notice a bell swinging back and forth. You’ll need to time your shot for when the bell swings up into the window.
Now turn around and look at the bookshelf sitting to the left side of the door. On top of the bookshelf you’ll be able to spot a small bell sitting atop a pile of books. While you’re at it, make sure to shoot out the glass on the bookshelf to pick up some handgun ammo.
Now head to the top of the stairs on the left side of the room and look out. The fourth bell is sitting inside the chandelier, so you might need to position yourself just right in order to hit it, or you can shoot the chandelier to make it swing then again to hit the bell. You may have already spotted the final bell at this point, but look out the window straight ahead and you’ll see it hanging. You’ll need to shoot the window out first, then fire another bullet in order to hit the bell. It’s easiest to use the sniper rifle for this last one, to make sure you hit it without wasting ammo.
Once all five bells are hit chimes will start to play, and the Lady Dimitrescu painting will move, revealing a path forward to the top of the castle.
