Our Potion Permit Map and Locations Guide will show you the full Potion Permit Map, tell you how to unlock new areas, and give you the opening and closing times for the shops in the game!
Potion Permit Map
The majority of the Potion Permit Map is locked off at the start of the game -- you'll have to progress through several quests in order to unlock new areas. Each area will grant you access to new Materials, new Food, and new Monsters.
The Potion Permit Map will show you any Materials and any Food you've come across in the game world. Unfortunately, it does not show you where your Dog can dig up Food. You can recognize these locations by looking for small mounds of dirt, sand, or snow when you're in the wilds.

How to Unlock More Potion Permit Locations
Here's how to unlock additional locations in Potion Permit.
Meadow Range
Unlocking the rest of Meadow Range begins with completing the quest "Clearing the Landslide."
- Go to Lazy Bowl Tavern - GF
- Watch cutscene
- Talk to Ottmar
- Deliver the following Materials and Food to Ottmar:
- 3 Honey
- 5 Basil
- 5 Mushroom
- Collect the Steel Fishing Net
You'll also need to get Approval Badge 1 from Myer if you don't already have it by now.
Then, go to the Boulder Wall in Meadow Range and complete the quest "Boulder Wall."
- Gather the following Materials and Items:
- 1 Steel Fishing Net
- 1,500 Gold
- 175 Wood
- 225 Stone
- Interact with the rockslide.
Once you interact with the rockslide, Bubble and Forrest will remove the landslide and open up access to this area.
Glaze Iceberg
Unlocking Glaze Iceberg involves a multi-stage quest, starting with getting Approval Badge 2. Focus on clearing up the waste in Meadow Range. After you've made some progress, Collin will visit you and issue you a test to level up your Potion-making skills. Complete the quest and you'll get access to new Potion recipes.
Next, head north of Meadow Range into the icy area and you'll come across a broken Cable Car. This will activate a quest to get Approval Badge 2 from Myer, which he'll give you with a Letter of Recommendation.
Head back to the Cable Car and you'll activate the quest "Fixing the Cable Car." You'll have to take the Cable Car plans to Opalheart; she'll advise you to take them to Lucke. Take the revised plans to Opalheart and she'll ask for the following:
- 10 Copper Nugget
- 10 Silver Nugget.
Then, she'll forge new Metal Cogs for the Cable Car.
Finally, you'll have to repair the Cable Car itself with another batch of Gold and resources:
- 1 Metal Cogs
- 3,000 Gold
- 675 Wood
- 525 Stone
Once you have all of this together, interact with the Cable Car and you'll open up access to Glaze Iceberg.
Barren Wasteland
As with the previous areas, you'll need the next level of Approval Badge to access this last area. Head south of Meadow Range and you'll get a cutscene from the Rangers giving you details about the geyser and the destroyed bridge.
You'll learn that you'll need to get a new pipe made for the machine that keeps the geyser in check, starting the quest "A Plumbing Problem." Talk to Yorn and he'll advise you to talk to Olive about heat-resistant pipes. You'll then have to get the following for Yorn:
- 10 Silver Nugget
- 5 Sour-Tasting Sap
Yorn will then make you a new pipe. You'll also need the following to repair the machine and the bridge:
- Heat Resistant Pipe
- 5,000 Gold
- 2,000 Wood
- 1,575 Stone
Once you have all of these items, interact with the sign and the Rangers will repair the damage, opening up the third and final major area on the Potion Permit Map.
