Palia Answering the Call Guide

As the Elderwoods become available to explore, the main story of Palia is released to players. The threat of the unknown visitor to the temples has come to fruition and Subira once again asks for your assistance. This is how to complete Answering the Call in Palia, the first quest of the main storyline.

When you visit your home plot after the light show of lasers illuminates the sky, you'll be greeted by Einar at the start of the main quest Answering the Call. He's there to inform you that the Cosmos Protocol was disengaged as confirmed by the Gardener. You're instructed to meet with Subira in the Night Sky Temple, but you can also go to the Temple of the Roots to get more information from the grumpy Galdur. Talking to the Gardener, though, does prove to be a waste of time and doesn't garner any new information. 

Go the the Night Sky Temple to learn that the previously locked door has been unlocked. This is where the bulk of the quest takes place. Speak with Subira inside to learn  the way forward is blocked. Thankfully, there are multiple walls you can mine through with the pick to reach your destination. 

To begin, go to the hall to the right with the bookcase and break through the left side. Inside you'll find Record #1. These are important for the end of the quest with a total of seven to find. You'll pick up the records along the way, so check your Quest inventory if you missed one.  

After reading through the log, turn around and go to the opposite hallway. Break the wall here to enter a hidden hallway. To the left is a small nook with Record #2. Go around the corner and smash the wall to your left. This room has a couple pipes and Record #3 in the back left side. Then you climb up the lattice to the next section.

On the walkway, jump over the missing path to reach Record #4 to the left of the bookcase. Jump to the small hallway and cross the bridge to continue. At this point it looks like you've reached a dead end. Instead, pick the bottom portion of path that looks like cobblestone. This opens a hole to drop down at the top of a flight of stairs. 

The first room to the left contains Record #5, while the room across from the stairs has a chest containing Gold Ore x3, Stone Block x5, and an Ancient Treasure Chest. Back in the hallway, you'll find all the rooms off it are accessible. Not all of them have anything worth note, however. 

From the room you were just in on the left, skip one door down to find Record #6. Its the entryway to the right of the double vases. The last door on the right contains the final log Record #7. To continue to the main room of the Cosmos Protocol, break into the second door on the right. You'll need to mine the floor to expose a climbing ladder. Drop down and collect the chest that's behind the ladder. It contains Gold x150, Leather x5, and another Ancient Treasure Chest.

From here follow the hallway to the end to reach a spot to climb up. Smash through the wall at the top to enter the next area where you meet Subria. After some brief dialogue, go up to the console to interact with it. The first thing it requires is the password. You can find these digits at on the last page of each log entry.

The password to access the console is: Qs7?v %J.  

Once unlocked, explore all the entries you want to. To further the quest you want to check both the Cosmos and Mirror Protocols to see when the last access times where. You'll see both were accessed recently. With that information, return to Subira to share your discovery. She'll bring you back to the Night Sky Temple and the quest completes.
