Every new adventure has to have a beginning, for your character the first stop in the Lental region is the New Pokemon Snap Florio Nature Park. This is exactly what you'd expect of a Pokemon safari with a mix of plains, forested areas, and a beautiful lake filled with all kinds of pokemon to meet. Below we have listed all of the Pokemon we've found so far in the New Pokemon Snap Florio Nature Park.

The more you play each level, and get interesting and exclusive photos the more you'll be able to increase your Research Level. When you get to a new Research Level new interactions will begin happening on routes and new pokemon will appear. For example, the first time you travel through the New Pokemon Snap Florio Nature Park during the day you won't see a Tangrowth, but on subsequent visits, he may appear. If you're searching for a Pokemon on the list below and it hasn't appeared for you where it shows in the map then you might just need to return at a later point in the game. For each of the 3/4-Star photos, I'll list which Research Level (RL) I encountered them on, but they are likely possible elsewhere too.

This guide will also list the various 3-Star opportunities that we've managed to come across in our own Pokemon journeys, it will be updated as we discover more.

New Pokemon Snap Florio Nature Park - Day

Below is a list of Pokemon you can find in this area:

  • Pichu
  • Grookey
  • Vivillion
  • Bouffalant
  • Bidoof
  • Emolga
  • Wurmple
  • Taillow
  • Swanna
  • Ducklett
  • Magikarp
  • Tangrowth
  • Comfey
  • Florges

3-Star Opportunities

Pichu and Grookey - RL1

Throughout the whole level, starting with as soon as you land you'll see Grookey and Pichu in front of you. Each time you happen to see them be sure to take photos of them. They will get shy and begin to run away from you. As you go through the level keep taking every opportunity to have them move further through the level. When you have gotten them all the way to the flowering field at the end they'll start dancing and playing with one another. This will be your opportunity to get a 3-Star photo of them.

Take note to be careful here as you might take all the photos you want and then discover that only Grookey counted. Be sure to spend some time making sure you get a valid picture of both Pokemon.

Tangrowth RL -1

Near the end of the lake area as the NEO-ONE crosses over a bridge you'll see bidoof in front of you headed to the left. They will get scared and run away, this is how you know the Tangrowth is around the corner. When you first see it it will be facing away from you. To get the best photo use the chime on the scanner to get it to turn around and look at you. After a few moments he'll make an angry face at you, this is when you should take the photo for the 3-star Tangrowth.

Florges - RL1

At the very end of the New Pokemon Snap Florio Nature Park you'll see a flowery field with all kinds of flower pokemon present. You'll see Florges in the middle of the field with its back facing you. As you approach wait for Florges to spin around, take the photo when they’re looking at you.

Bouffalant - RL2

After getting the Illumina Balls use one on a Bouffalant and it will rear up. Take a photo when it’s front hooves are in the air and take a photo. You can use apples to try to lure them to look at you in case they’re facing the wrong way.

4-Star Opportunities

Emolga - RL2

Near the end of the forest you’ll get to the first Crystabloom plant you ever saw. Fire an Illumina Ball into it and it will shed light. Look at the top of the rock face and you’ll see a happy Emolga waving at you

Murkrow - RL1

After going over the bridge at the end of the lake area two Murkrow on the ground will caw at you. When they’re acting hostile take a photo.

Swanna - RL 1

Keep an eye in the sky as you're travelling through the lake area with Torterra all around. A glowing Swanna will swoop by, do you best to line up and take a few photos while it's soaring by to nab this 3-star photo.

Bidoof - RL 2

Requirements: Research Lv. 2

In the lake area you'll see a chain of three Bidoof swimming in a row. Depending on how Torterra are sleeping on the lakeside you should be able to get nice and close to take a photo of these Bidoof.

Magikarp - RL 2

Throw an Illumina Orb at the Magikarp and it will begin to flop up into the air. Catch a photo of it while it's at the peak of its jump and it should count as a 3-star.

Scorbunny - RL 2

At the beginning of the stage to your right on the signpost will be a scorbunny. He will be doing firey kicks.

4-Star Opportunities

Caterpie - RL 1

As you're headed through the forested area at the front portion of the level there will be a mound of dirt that you're told to scan. If you look behind that dirt you'll see a caterpie. After the scan ping goes off the Caterpie will use String Shot and rear up. Take a photo when it's up in the air and you should get this 4-star. The window of opportunity is quite generous on this photo, I think Caterpie had already stopped spraying in mine and I still earned the 4-stars.

Torterra - RL 2

Requirements: Flufffruit

On the lakeside steer yourself towards a Torterra whose head is turned towards you while sleeping. The first apple you throw that connects with the Torterra will wake it up. it will spot you and roar. If you take a photo as it's roaring you'll get that 4-star photo. It won't move any further so you have plenty of time to frame up your shot.

Dodrio - RL 2

When you get to the lake area and see the Dodrio to your left throw an Illumia Orb at it. It will jump high into the air.

New Pokemon Snap Florio Nature Park - Illumina Spot

Below is a list of Pokemon you can find in this area:

  • Meganium

3-Star Opportunities

Meganium - RL 2

When the line of trees appears that divides you and Meganium near the end it will look over at you. Take a photo here for your 3-star look.

Eevee - RL 2

At the beginning of the stage Eevee is playing on top of the sleeping Meganium. Take a few photos of it then, even better if you nail it with a few Illumina Balls first.

4-Star Opportunities

Meganium - RL 2

Use the Illumina ball to keep lighting the Crystablooms. When Meganium gets to the second one it will rear up and roar. This is when you want to take the photo.

This area is specifically for the capturing of images of an Illumina Meganium. There are opportunities for 3-star and 4-star photos but all pictures that are submitted during the Illumina Spot need to be when a Pokemon is actively shining. Returning here with Illumina Balls will allow you to get more photos.
