How to Unlock Every Abiotic Factor Tram Station

This guide will tell you how to unlock every Abiotic Factor Tram Station and show you a map of where every Tram Station can take you.

The GATE Facility in Abiotic Factor is pretty large — it's packed full of rooms to explore with interesting resources to collect (and even a few places to fish). The Trams are the best way to get around the facility quickly, but you'll have to make them first. Read on to learn everything you need to know about Trams!

How Trams Work in Abiotic Factor

As you might expect, every Abiotic Factor Tram Station is associated with a fixed route. Trams can take you from one Tram Station to the next Tram Station on that particular line. However, the Tram Station must be unlocked first.

All of the Tram Stations in the Office Sector are locked at the start of the game. You'll have to make your way to the other Tram Station deeper in the facility in order to unlock the Tram and make that particular Tram Station usable.

Trams can be used at any time, even if the power is off. You can also make Trams change direction while they're in transit. Most Trams will only travel between two stations, but some Trams (such as the Tram for the Cascade Laboratories) have multiple stops.

This map shows the approximate locations of where Tram Stations will take you from point to point on the map. Some areas (such as the Security Sector) do not have a Tram Station at all.

Here's how to unlock every Abiotic Factor Tram Station that's in the game as of the Crush Depth update (version 0.9.0.11307-Shipping).

How to Unlock Tram to Blacksmith (Manufacturing West)

You can unlock the Tram to The Blacksmith by unlocking Manufacturing West and making your way to The Blacksmith at the F.O.R.G.E. Once you get there, you can simply turn right from The Blacksmith and take the Tram back to the Offices Sector Plaza.

How to Unlock Tram to The Train (Manufacturing West)

You can unlock the Tram to The Train Portal World by making your way to the Syncrotron, talking to Frake to get the objective to repair the Syncrotron, and then visiting The Blacksmith. The Blacksmith will talk to you about trading him items and he'll also give you the crafting recipe for a Tram Station Key.

Craft a Tram Station Key and then make your way back toward the Syncrotron. Insert the Tram Station Key into the console and you'll open up access to this Tram along with the area to The Train Portal World and a few smaller rooms.

How to Unlock Tram to the Wildlife Pens and Containment Block Helmholtz

Unlike other Trams, the Cascade Laboratories Tram has two stops. You can unlock the Tram to the Wildlife Pens by crafting a Tram Station Key and using it at the Tram in the Wildlife Pens; you can make it to this area pretty easily once you've entered the Cascade Laboratories.

Getting to the Tram in Containment Block Helmholtz (and the Furniture Store Portal World) is a little more difficult; you'll have to disable the security grids on the top floor and work your way toward the rear of the top floor where this Containment Block is located. Once you get there, you can activate the Tram.

How to Unlock the Tram to the Hydroplant Sector

You can activate the Tram to the Hydroplant Sector by completing the Security Sector. You'll find the Tram to your left as soon as you exit out into the main cave area that has the Hydroplant. Be careful, though, as Snipers are spread throughout the area and they will shoot you if you're in the open for too long.
