How to Kill the Tarasque in Abiotic Factor

Abiotic Factor has some pretty tough enemies to fight as you move through the GATE Facility, but few are as strong as the Tarasque. This hulking beast can send you flying across the room with one blow. You'll need to kill it to get access to The Mycofields, so we'll teach you the strategy to defeat this massive monster!

Where to Find the Tarasque

You can find the Tarasque in Containment Block Anning on the top floor of the Cascade Laboratories Containment Wing. The area is protected by automated security turrets which you must disable before you attempt to fight the Tarasque; these turrets can quickly kill you if you're not careful.

The Tarasque is located at the end of a long corridor and behind a half-open blast door. There are a handful of places within this area where the Tarasque can't reach you, so you should rely on these safe spots to do as much damage as you can.

How to Kill the Tarasque in Abiotic Factor

You can kill the Tarasque in Abiotic Factor by attacking the small red tentacles on the front of its chest until it falls over on the ground and exposes its back. You must then attack the weak point on its back until it gets back up. Repeat this process until the Tarasque is dead.

The Tarasque can leap across the room and punch you hard enough that you'll fly across the room. As long as you have decent armor, you won't take too much damage from these hits. However, you won't be able to tank the Tarasque's damage forever.

Using a ranged weapon such as a gun or the Grinder is your best bet. Stand in an area where the Tarasque can't reach you and where you can get a clear shot at the tentacles on its chest. Once it falls over, you can run outside and poke it in the back repeatedly until it gets back up.

Once the Tarasque is dead, you can chop up its body with a Sharp Melee weapon to get a Tarasque Skull and Tarasque Ichor. Tarasque Ichor is needed to repair the portal to The Mycofields Portal World, a valuable source of new crafting materials.
