How to Kill a Symphonist in Abiotic Factor

There are tons of tough enemies in Abiotic Factor, but the Symphonist is one of the most annoying creatures you'll encounter. Whether you're exploring Flathill or dealing with a Fog Weather Event, the Symphonist can cause a lot of damage to you and your surroundings. Read on to learn how to find and kill this terrible creature!

Where to Find Symphonists

You can find a Symphonist in Abiotic Factor by traveling to the Flathill Portal World after you've completed it at least once. Every subsequent visit has a chance for one or more Symphonists to spawn.

Here are the four known locations where you can find a Symphonist in Flathill:

1. In the alley behind the video store
2. At the end of the left hallway in the courthouse
3. Near the red double doors on the second floor of the courthouse
4. In front of the elevator in the Flathill Syrup Co.

As far as I can tell, your best chance of finding a Symphonist is after a Portal World reset; you can run through Flathill and check all four spawn points pretty quickly. It is possible for more than one Symphonist to spawn at the same time.

Unfortunately, it's unclear if Symphonists only spawn after a Portal World reset or if they can randomly spawn at any of these locations while you're already in Flathill. If you're specifically hunting for Symphonists, your best bet is to explore Flathill, leave, and then wait for a Portal reset before searching again.

Additionally, you can find a Symphonist pretty much anywhere in the GATE Facility during a Fog Weather Event. It's not a bad idea to craft a few Symphonist Scarecrows to keep it away from your base, just to be safe.

How to Kill a Symphonist in Abiotic Factor

Unfortunately, there is no real trick to kill a Symphonist in Abiotic Factor; you simply have to do enough damage to it to kill it. It is immune to electricity, so don't waste your time with weapons such as the Electro-Thrower.

A Symphonist will tuck into a ball and roll at you at high speeds. It can also slap you away into the air; fortunately, you don't take fall damage from this attack.

When a Symphonist has been damaged, it will disappear and create three shadow clones. You can tell which one is the real Symphonist based on its movement. Furthermore, any projectiles stuck in it (such as Grinder Discs) will only appear in the real Symphonist.

A Symphonist will always drop a Symphonist Head on death. It also has a chance to drop Porcelain Shards, Organs, and a Porcelain Key, the latter of which can be used to open a Cacophonous Crate.
