If you're wondering how to get Metal in Raft, you're in the right place! If you're looking for Raft Metal, our guide will tell you where to find Metal and what it's used for.

How to Get Metal in Raft

You can get Metal in Raft by traveling to an island, anchoring your Raft, and diving into the water. Metal Ore can be found on the side of hills and cliffs underwater; it looks like light green stones. All you need to do is use your Plastic Hook to pick it up -- just make sure you watch out for the Shark. Keep an eye out for Copper, too, since it is found in a similar fashion.

Keep in mind, however, that the Metal Ore alone can't be used for much. You're going to need to build a Smelter to turn the ore into Metal Ingots, and that means you should make sure to farm Sand and Clay while you're underwater, too.

What is Metal Used for in Raft?

Metal in Raft is one of the most versatile materials in the game; Metal Ingots are used in the second tier of tools and a lot of other useful stuff.

Here's what you can make with Metal:

  • Foundation Armor
  • Bolt
  • Scrap Hook
  • Metal Axe
  • Metal Fishing Rod
  • Shovel

  • ...and more
