Guide

As Sora heading through the Disney worlds allows you to see interesting locations, meet a variety of new characters, and fight strange and wonderful monsters. Once you've cleared out the story though, there is regularly more to go back and do, and some of it comes with a reward.

Since the first Kingdom Hearts title, beating the game just wasn't enough—clearing it while meeting certain requirements would earn players a Secret Movie. The content of these movies would always be cryptic and tease something literally or thematically with where the next step in the Kingdom Hearts story would lead. If you want to obtain them though, you'll need to know what to do.

Through this guide, I'll mention the game and the criteria for each difficulty. If difficulty isn't listed, it means that it's impossible to get the Secret Movie playing that way. It's also worth noting that Chain of Memories, 358/2 Days, and 0.2 A Fragmentary Passage do not have a Secret Movie. Coded and subsequently Re: Coded did not have secret movies but in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMix an additional scene is added to the end of the movie to tie it to the events of Dream Drop Distance.

Kingdom Hearts - Another Side, Another Story

To get the Secret Movie you must clear the following criteria:

Standard - Collect all 99 Dalmations hidden around the worlds, clear the Hades Cup of the Coliseum, seal all Keyholes (including the 100 Acre Woods), and finish the game.

Proud - Seal all Keyholes (including the 100 Acre Woods) and finish the game.

Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix - Another Side, Another Story

Standard - Collect all 99 Dalmations hidden around the worlds, seal all Keyholes (including the 100 Acre Woods), and finish the game.

Proud - Finish the game

After fighting the final boss of the game, Armored Ventus Nightmare, you'll need to answer his questions accordingly:

  2. My close friends
  3. To recover something important
You must also obtain a certain number of in-game trophies to be able to view the ending:

Beginner - Unlock at least 13 trophies

Proud - Unlock at least 5 trophies

Critical - Complete the game

Kingdom Hearts III - Yozora

To get the Secret Movie you must clear the following criteria:

If you already beat Kingdom Hearts III before reaching the required number of Lucky Symbols, after meeting the requirement, the video will appear in the theater mode.

So, there you have it: How to unlock every Secret Movie in all Kingdom Hearts games that are available. As more Kingdom Hearts releases we'll be sure to update the above guide, but we aren't expecting an update so soon after Kingdom Hearts III release.

Were you able to use the above guide? Is there anything that you think I missed? What do you think of the Secret Movies?
