How to Clean the Shotgun in Conscript Chapter 2

This guide will tell you where to find the Gun Cleaning Kit and how you can use it to clean the Shotgun in Conscript Chapter 2, giving you a serious upgrade over the Ruby Pistol in your fight against the Germans.

A big part of Conscript is arming yourself to fight against the Germans. You'll spend the early parts of Chapter 2 searching for a Torch and trying to open the Pigeon Coop with only a Ruby Pistol, but you can eventually find a Shotgun that's in terrible shape. This guide will tell you how to make it usable again.

Where to Find the Gun Cleaning Kit

You can find the Gun Cleaning Kit in the Pigeon Coop in Conscript Chapter 2. You can get to it fairly early; if you happen to pick it up, you can put it away in your Stash until you find the Shotgun later in Chapter 2. Otherwise, you can pick it up while you're working on opening up the Pigeon Coop cage.

Where to Find the Shotgun in Chapter 2

You can find the Shotgun in Chapter 2 of Conscript in the Back Door area, above the Fuel Storage and to the west of the Monitor Tunnel. Unfortunately, you can't access this area until you get the Lockpick and use it to open the Locked Door (Simple Lock) in the Monitor Tunnel.

How to Clean the Shotgun in Conscript Chapter 2

You can clean the Shotgun in Conscript Chapter 2 by using the Gun Cleaning Kit on the Shotgun (Dirty) in your inventory.

Once you have the Shotgun (Dirty) and the Gun Cleaning Kit in your inventory, you can select the Gun Cleaning Kit, select "Combine," and drop the Gun Cleaning Kit on top of the Shotgun (Dirty). This will convert the Shotgun (Dirty) into a Pump Shotgun with 5 Shotgun Shells automatically loaded.

Sadly, the Gun Cleaning Kit will be consumed when you use it. It's more than a fair trade, though — a working Pump Shotgun is much more powerful than the Ruby Pistol, and you can use some Gun Parts to make it an even better weapon at the trader.
