HoloCure, even in its current form, features a lot of vtubers from multiple generations and branches of Hololive. However, you wont have access to most of them when you initially start playing the game. In our HoloCure Gacha Guide, we'll go over how to expand your roster, along with some of the gacha system's other quirks.

HoloCure Character Gacha
The gacha system can be accessed from the Shop in the main menu. The Character Gacha is where you'll unlock all characters other than those in the group EN Myth. Characters are grouped into their Hololive generations, and you can spend 1000 HoloCoins (obtained via regular gameplay) to roll on a specific banner. Each roll will give you one of the characters in that specific banner at random, unlocking them for play if it's the first time they have appeared. It's also possible to obtain alternate costumes for characters this way, though these are much rarer.
Another system tied to the HoloCure gacha is the G. Rank stat. If you get a character you already have via the gacha, their G. Rank will increase. This increases their HP, ATK, and SPD stats by 1% up to a maximum of +20%. While it is possible to keep getting duplicate characters after already reaching the maximum stat increase, these extra ranks current do nothing.

HoloCure HoloCoin Farming
If you want to get every character, you'll naturally need a lot of HoloCoins. Unfortunately, it's not the easiest to do when you're starting out. You'll want to go through Stage 1, spending coins on upgrades in the shop rather than the gacha. A few levels in HP and ATK, along with unlock the SPecial Attack function, will make clearing Stage 1 much easier. Clearing Stages gives a HoloCoin bonus, so it's worth sticking to the easiest one until you've powered up a bit.
After getting a few upgrades, it's then worth trying to get Roboco-San via the Character Gacha. She's able to level up quickly thanks to her abilities, making the tougher enemies in Stage 2 and Stage 1 (Hard) much more tolerable. From there, Stage 2 will be the most consistent way to farm HoloCoins — while Stage 1 (Hard) has a higher coin multiplier, the enemies there have even higher stats. If you're able to survive 20 minutes in Stage Mode during Stage 2, then it's best to move onto Endless Mode. While there is no clear bonus, surviving for long periods of time in Endless grants a lot more coins in return.
There are a few items you'll want to try and grab early for maximum HoloCoin gains. The most important of these is Halu, which increases enemy spawns and strength, while also granting HoloCoins after killing a certain number of enemies. Other coin increasing items include Membership, Stolen Piggy Bank, and Super Chatto Time! The Credit Card item can also be used to reduce the cost of upgrading weapons past their maximum rank.
