Hogwarts Legacy The Hippogriff Marks The Spot Quest Guide | Map and Treasure Location

There are a few quests in Hogwarts Legacy that use a map with clues to lead you to treasure, and The Hippogriff Marks The Spot is one of them. While the quest itself isn't too difficult, locating the map to start the quest as well as understanding the map can be a bit tricky. In this "The Hippogriff Marks The Spot" quest guide, we will discuss where to find the map to start the quest, where the map tells you to go, and what treasure awaits you at the end. 

How To Complete The Hippogriff Marks The Spot Quest in Hogwarts Legacy

First, you will need to find the map to start the quest. This can be found in the Poidsear Coast area of the World Map, at the southern end. Here is exactly where the quest can be found: 

Once here, you will need to land inside the bandit camp to retrieve the map. You can either fight them off or snag the map and mount up quickly to escape without needing to fight. The map will first lead you to the Clagmar Coast area of the map. You can take the Floo Flame to the South Clagmar Coast  and fly directly to this location: 

Once here, you will need to defeat the bandits within the camp and make your way to the right side of the castle. You will see a set of stairs that leads you down a pathway to a door. 

Enter Henrietta's Hideaway and take a quick look around the room. On either side, there is a statue with a brazier in front of it and in the center of the room there are two sigils on the floor with a spell icon on each of them. One of the sigils already has a Glacius block on it. You will need that spell as well as Incendio on your bar to solve the puzzle. 

You can immediately cast Glacius on the block on top of the Glacius sigil in order to get it ready, but you do not have to do this to solve the puzzle. To begin, you will need to light the Brazier to the left side of the room to get the Incendio block. The brazier on the right will reveal a chest but is not needed to solve the puzzle. 

Use Accio to pick up the Incedio block and bring it to its matching symbol on the floor in the middle of the room. Cast Incendio on the block just as you did Glacius on the other one. This will open up the door to the next room with a large Hippogriff statue in the center. This is where the map comes into play. You will need to light the braziers you see lit up on the map in order to reveal the chest located in the room behind the Hippogriff statue. Here is what the braziers should look like to solve the puzzle:

Once the door to the chest opens, simply loot the chest to complete the quest.
