Hi-Fi Rush is a new game from Tango Gameworks that puts players in control of Chai. Chai is a rocker who due to some medical malpractice has woken up with a metal arm and a music player stuck in his heart. This gives him all kinds of musical abilities but it has also put a target on his back. As he makes his way through this colorful world to try to escape it's not just robots that you'll be facing, there are also plenty of collectibles to pick up. In this Hi-Fi Rush Track 3: Trial By (Volcanic) Fire Collectible Guide we'll go through where to get all of the collectibles in Track 3 of Hi-Fi Rush.
You won't be able to obtain all of the collectibles on your first playthrough of this level as certain locations will only become available to you as you obtain more party members and unlock more abilities. Each of these collectibles is a part of a whole bonus that will raise your maximum health, maximum reverb, or will even give you a whole Health Tank that will automatically give you back full health after you've lost all your current health. Each of these items are extremely important as you take on more difficult challenges throughout the game, and even more so if you're trying to beat the game on any of the hardest difficulties!
Hi-Fi Rush Track 3: Trial By (Volcanic) Fire Collectibles
The collectibles will be listed in the order that they appear in the level so you can start at the top of the list and work your way through. If you happen to spot any collectibles that we have missed feel free to drop a comment below and we'll check it out!
- Vlog #1: R&D Service Log: Part 1
After the first ring of enemies, there will be a few rocks over the lava to hop across. The first vlog will be sitting on a stack of wood directly on your path as you make your way to the second ring of enemies. It is pretty hard to miss.
- Broken Armstrong Circuit #1
This is found directly after the first Vlog, in plain sight. Right at the beginning of the level, left side by the CAUTION yellow and black barrier. Before the first zipline of the level.
- Vlog #2: R&D Service Log: Part 2
As you make your way past the second ring of enemies, there will be a little area on your path that has two robots arguing about how many signs the volcano has. Right behind them, there is a bunch of computers, desks, and tech. On one of the desks closest to where you initially came from, there will be Vlog #2.
- Smashable Gate
Directly behind the robots discussing the number of signs on the paths through the volcano.
- Broken Heatlh Tank #1
To the Left as you get off of the 2nd Zipline, behind a health box and regular gear box.
- Broken Armstrong circuit #2
Found after the third ring of enemies (the ones that put the weapon down that creates an AOE shield for the enemies). Up the ramp and to the left behind 2 boxes and a barrel.
- Broken Armstrong Circuit #3
As you walk up the path leading to the R&D room/area, there is a circuit almost all the way up to the doors and to the far left behind a short glass wall - jump over this wall to get it.
- Gold Statue #1
To the far right of the door to the R&D room/area. Across from Broken Armstrong Circuit #3.
- Volcano Graffiti
Behind the gold statue. Jump up onto the landing above the statue and follow the path to the volcano graffiti.
- Vlog #3: R&D Service Log: Part 3
Again, this one is pretty out in the open. Right before the large doors to the R&D Department, next to a few cones and boxes.
- Chest #1: Life Gauge Piece #1
After the fourth ring of enemies, jump across the two rocks that get thrown in the air by lava. Down and to the right of the path to progress forward (drops Life Gauge Piece #1)
- Vlog #4: R&D Service Log Part 4
This one can be found to the right of the path next to the forward arrow signs. The robot who has been leaving these notes will be holding onto this one.
- Vlog #5: LU-C1LLE Self-Therapy Journal
This one, again, is in plain view as you make your way towards Peppermint's shop prior to entering the large double doors to start the "Parry" Challenges.
- Electric Reverb Core #1
To the right of the main staircase inside of the R&D Dept (the room with the test result robots) behind a glass wall that you cannot jump over, you have to go around. The core is easily seen when going up the main staircase if you do miss it initially.
- Broken Armstrong Circuit #4
To the left of the doorway after you finish the first Parry challenge in plain sight.
- Life Gauge #1
Not one of the broken ones, but a full Life Gauge. This one is found by jumping on top of a set of wires, then on top of the glass case to a set of pipes onto the roof of a small testing area (Barrier Umbrella Test Room) inside of the office after the second Parry challenge.
- Vlog #6: Barrier Umbrella Test
Found inside the office after the second Parry challenge, directly to the left of the door to enter the next second Parry Challenge room.
- Air Guitar Attack Card
Found inside of the “congrats” room after completing the final Parry challenge.
- Locked Door: Gate 03
This locked door can be found by jumping on top of and over a few rocks to the right of the entryway after the “congrats” room. You will run into a sign that points to the left (the way to progress) right after you leave that "congrats" room; take a right instead and follow the pathway.
