In this Hero's Hour Pyre Faction Guide, I'll tell you what you need to know to get started with playing the Cult of Pyre.

Hero's Hour Pyre Faction Guide - Basic Strategy

Rather unsurprisingly, the Pyre faction uses demons and a lot of fire. It uses a paradoxical mix of high-risk, high-reward creatures with the Savage ability (which gives higher damage and less health) along with damage-over-time effects like the aforementioned proclivity towards fire.

Pyres Unique Buildings are Infernal Gate, Chamber of Rituals, and Everburning Flame.

Infernal Gate

The Infernal Gate summons demons into every battle for free.

Chamber of Rituals

The Chamber of Rituals gives any visiting friendly hero a single free level-up.

Everburning Flame

The Everburning Flame generates 1 Sulphur each day and allows Pyre heroes to teleport between mines within the town's territory.

The Pyro Heroes are Fireshaper and Caprice.

Fireshaper (Firetrapping)

Fireshapers get the special Firetrapping spell which teleports enemies across the battlefield and weakens them.

Kediz / Tayatona

Kediz and Tayatona have multiple spells which cause an effect on the death of an allied unit, so they're best used with large armies of cheap units.

Teyonot / Melphermea

Teyonot and Mephermea are best used with groups of high-Power units.

Qara / Hultuti

Qara and Hultuti are best used as dedicated spellcasters.

Caprice (Firegating)

Caprices can teleport friendly units across the battlefield with the Firegating spell once per day, causing explosive damage at the destination.

Evia / Etnanoane

Evia and Etnanoane focus on buffing units and are a good fit for people who like to use smaller numbers of high-Power units.

Ganamon / Trizzio

Ganamon and Trizzio are best used with large groups of cheaper units, supplemented by their ability to confuse and distract the enemy.

Etyetano / Nayteota

Etyetano and Nayteota focus on growing armies quickly and summoning allies in battle.

Here are the unit choices you have to make for the Pyro Faction.

Canine or Capra?

The Canine uses AoE melee attacks and can be upgraded to Charge, making it perfect for blitzkrieg attacks. The Capra is a little slower, but it is more aggressive in terms of damage and can leap into battle.

Demon Tamer or Demon Carer?

The Demon Tamer is a tough unit that can summon additional Capras into a fight. The Demon Carer instead focuses on healing and can even resurrect friendly creatures once upgraded.

Shah or Succubus?

The Shah focuses on ranged attacks and can heal nearby allies once upgraded. The Succubus is better for slowly moving into melee and can even convert enemies to your side with its Charm ability.
