What Are The Good Life Hotwords?
The Good Life Hotwords are a game mechanic relating to photography; "Hotwords" can be thought of as similar to "hashtags." A new batch of five Hotwords are made available twice a week. Uploading photos featuring these Hotowrds will make you a lot more money than uploading most other pictures.
Unfortunately, The Good Life Hotwords are not always as straightforward as they should be. Furthermore, some subjects of the Hotwords can be difficult to find. In our The Good Life Hotwords Locations Guide, we'll tell you the best places to find many of these critical codes that can help you make a ton of cash!
When Do The Good Life Hotwords Reset?
The Good Life Hotwords reset on Monday and Thursday at midnight. That means that you get a new set of Hotwords the very moment it becomes a new day.
Bear in mind, The Good Lifes Hotwords reset is not predetermined -- you can save the game just before midnight and check out what the new Hotwords are. If you don't like them, you can reload the save before midnight and get an entirely different set of Hotwords.
The Good Life Hotwords Locations
The following is the list of The Good Life Hotwords locations that I've found so far. An effort has been made to try to find locations as close to Naomi's house as possible. More will be added as they're discovered.
Keep in mind that these The Good Life Hotwords locations are not exclusive -- there may be multiple places where you can snap a photo to score the Hotword bonus.
#alkies
The #alkies Hotword (which is slang for alcoholics) can be earned by taking a picture of Benedict Macauley while he's drinking in the 1977 pub.
#antiques
You can most easily find #antiques by taking a picture of the Antique Cameras in John's Repair Workshop in the Plaza. You can also get this Hotword by taking a picture of the antique plates in the White Estate.
#antiquecameras (and #antiques)
Go into John's Repair Workshop in the Plaza and you can get either the #antiques or the #antiquecameras Hotwords by taking a picture of the cameras in the display cases.
#antiqueclocks
The only way I've found to get the #antiqueclocks Hotword is by heading inside the White Estate; you'll need to get started with the quests in Route A to gain access to this area.
Strangely, the clock does not count towards the #antiques Hotword; fortunately, there are other antiques in the living room (such as the plates) that qualify for it.
#antiquetableware
The #antiquetableware Hotword can be picked up by taking a picture of the plates in the cabinet at the White Estate. You'll need to progress a little in Route A to gain access to the building first, though.
#aquaticfowl
Strangely, Ducks don't count for the #aquaticfowl Hotword; instead, you have to go to Lake Sutrains southwest of the Plaza and take a picture of a Mallard to score this Hotword.
#beautifullandscapes
We have not yet found a solution for the #beautifullandscapes Hotword.
#beerandyummyfood
Getting #beerandyummyfood is one of The Good Life Hotwords that will actually cost you some money. Had to 1776 and buy a cheap food item (such as the Black Pudding Saute for £5.00) and a beer (such as the Floating Ale for £3.75). Pick them up and place them next to one another on the bar and snap your photo.
#bridgescenery
The #bridgescenery Hotword is pretty easy to get. Simply head east of the plaza and snap a picture of the bridge in the forest; its location is shown on the above map.
#bunnies
#bunnies can be acquired by taking a picture of a Rabbit (or something similar). There's a small Rabbit statue to the right of The Downer Hotel B&B in front of a white house that qualifies for this Hotword. You can also find Rabbits north of the Plaza at Norcoilltean Tarn.
#Cat and doggy
The easiest way to get The Good Life Hotword #Cat and doggy is to wait until the night when everyone transforms into animals. Get a cat and dog in your camera's viewfinder and you'll nail the photo.
#catsinhats
We have not yet found a solution for the #catsinhats Hotword.
That said, the odds are good that you'll be able to get this Hotword by visiting the Plaza on a Full Moon or New Moon when everyone has transformed into animals.
#celebritymansions
Taking a picture of the White Estate (at the White Estate Garden map marker) will fulfill the #celebritymansions Hotword.
#cherryblossoms
We have not yet found a solution for the #cherryblossoms Hotword.
#chimneyscapes
We have not yet found a solution for the #chimneyscapes Hotword.
#classiccosplay
We have not yet found a solution for the #classiccosplay Hotword.
However, you may be able to get it during the opening parts of Route A since you apparently travel back in time; we haven't yet tested this, though, and therefore cannot confirm it.
#coffeedrinkers
We have not yet found a solution for the #coffeedrinkers Hotword.
#coolposters
You can get the #coolposters Hotword by taking a picture of a qualifying poster in the 1977 Pub.
#coolsheepstuff
You can get the #coolsheepstuff Hotword by taking a picture of the Stuffed Sheep inside of the Post Shop or in its display window out front.
#cursedartifacts
We have not yet found a solution for the #cursedartifacts Hotword.
#cutegirls
A picture of Clay Macauley will get you the #cutegirls Hotword. She can most often be found in the Plaza or in Town Hall.
#cutesquirrels
The easiest play to get the #cutesquirrels Hotword is the woods surrounding the Witch House Pharmacy.
#cutestuffedanimals
#cutestuffedanimals is one of the easier The Good Life Hotwords -- simply take a picture of the Stuffed Sheep in the Post Shop window (next to Fancy & Bunny in the Plaza). You can also get pictures of several stuffed animals inside the actual shop.
#cutetableware
The #cutetableware Hotword can be earned by taking a picture of the tableware behind the counter at the Grocery & Butcher Shop in the Plaza.
#fairies
We have not yet found a solution for the #fairies Hotword.
#fireplaceflames
You can get the #fireplaceflames Hotword by taking a picture of the fireplace in the 1977 pub.
#flocksofbirds
We have not yet found a solution for the #flocksofbirds Hotword.
#flowerofsilence
Lavender will trigger the #flowerofsilence Hotword; you can most easily find it in William's Garden across the road from your home.
#freshrawmeat
The Grocery & Butcher Shop is the place to go to get the #freshrawmeat Hotword. All you need to do is grab a picture of the meat freezer to the right of the counter.
#freshveggiesandfruit
The #freshveggiesandfruit Hotword can be picked up inside the Grocery & Butcher Shop; simply snap a photo of the food on display and you're golden.
#funkyoldladies
You can get the #funkyoldladies Hotword by heading to the Witch House Pharmacy in the daytime and taking a picture of Pauline Atwood.
#gardenswithfountains
The #gardenswithfountains Hotword can be acquired inside the walls of the White Estate.
#householdappliances
Getting the #householdappliances Hotword is as easy as taking a picture of Naomi's refrigerator in her kitchen.
#hydrangea
You can get the #hydrangea Hotword by taking a picture of the Hydrangea bush slightly to the left of the Grocery & Butcher Shop entrance.
#kittieoverload
As one might expect, the #kittieoverload Hotword can be acquired by getting multiple cats in the same picture. Your best bet to get it is waiting for a full moon or new moon when the townsfolk have transformed into animals in the Plaza.
#lakelandscapes
The #lakelandscapes Hotword can be earned by taking a picture of Lake Sutrains Southwest of the Plaza.
#landscapepaintings
The #landscapepaintings Hotword can be earned by taking a picture of the Landscape Painting in Naomi's kitchen.
#laundryonasunnyday
You can get the #laundryonasunnyday Hotword by going to the yard behind the Post Shop and Fancy & Bunny. Strangely, you can still get the Hotword even if it's raining, but be careful -- it doesn't appear to actually count on the Flamingo app unless it's a sunny day.
#legendarybears
We don't yet have confirmation on the #legendarybears Hotword. However, my research shows that bears can be found in the Snowy Mountains, a location in the north that is unlocked by progressing through one of the main Routes.
#lovemypc
This is one of the easier The Good Life Hotwords to get -- you can get the #lovemypc Hotword simply by taking a picture of the PC in your home.
#luxuryfurniture
#luxuryfurniture may be the easiest of The Good Life Hotwords I've seen yet -- all you need to do is snap a picture of Naomi's dresser. There are plenty of other furniture choices elsewhere such as the chairs in Fancy & Bunny.
#luxuryyarn
/u/Jeancy on Reddit solved this one -- you can take a picture of the "Antique Yarn" rug in Naomi's bedroom and you'll get the #luxuryyarn Hotword.
#masterworts
We have not yet found a solution for the #masterworts Hotword.
Unless you're a botanist or a gardening nut, you probably don't know that "masterwort" is a flower. Unfortunately, this flower is a bit difficult to track down and we haven't yet found this flower.
#monsters
We have not yet found a solution for the #monsters Hotword.
#moustachieodgentleman
Grabbing a picture of Morris Downer at The Downer Hotel B&B will easily get you the #moustachieodgentleman Hotword.
#namelessviolinists
There are two easy opportunities for getting the #namelessviolinists Hotword. The first is by taking a picture of Henry Poe in West Park. Your second option is to get a photo of Horatio Stringer in the 1977 Pub in the Plaza.
#nocturnalanimallife
The #nocturnalanimallife Hotword can be achieved by taking a picture of an animal at nighttime.
#oddeyedcats
I suspect that you can get the #oddeyedcats Hotword by taking a picture of the "Odd Eyed Cat" (Norlock Homeless), although I haven't yet confirmed this for certain.
#parrots
Anyone who has begun Route A knows that Norlock Homeless has a parrot on his head and that's a sensible target for the #parrots Hotword. Unfortunately, actually getting the target to lock onto the Parrot is very finicky and difficult, so you'll likely have a difficult time actually getting this Hotword.
#peoplewithglasses
Unfortunately, we haven't been able to find the #peoplewithglasses Hotword. Several people with glasses do not trigger the Hotword, nor does have multiple people with glasses in the photo.
#popularcountryinns
#popularcountryinns is among the easier The Good Life Hotwords to get; all you need to do is take a picture of The Downer Hotel B&B near the plaza.
#pottedherbs
#pottedherbs is one of the easiest The Good Life Hotwords to get -- all you need to do is walk across the road to William's House and snap a picture of the herbs in the brown pot by his front door.
#pottedflowers
We have not yet found a solution for the #pottedflowers Hotword.
One would think that the #pottedflowers would be one of the easiest The Good Life Hotwords to get. Unfortunately, it's either bugged or requires a very specific target and we can't say for certain how to get this one just yet.
#rarestamps
You can get the #rarestamps Hotword by taking a picture of the stamp on display in the Post Shop next to Fancy & Bunny.
#rats
The #rats Hotword is pretty easy to get; head down the road towards the Plaza during the morning or daytime. You should find a Rat running around near the McAvoy Construction sign.
#rockgirls
To get the #rockgirls Hotword, you simply need to pop over to the 1977 Pub and snap a photo of the bartender Michelle O'Reilly.
#ruins
The nearest place we've found to get the #ruins Hotword is all the way in the northeast of the map -- take a picture of Old St. Ardan's and you'll nail the Hotword.
#servicevehicles
The nearest vehicle that fits the #servicevehicles Hotword is parked outside of Burley's Farm to the south of the Plaza.
#signs
To get the #signs Hotword, head into the Plaza and take a picture of the ice cream sign outside of the Mushroom & Evans Cafe and Restaurant in the Plaza.
#skinnydogs
Wait for a full moon or new moon and take a picture of Morris Downer at The Downer Hotel B&B when he's transformed into a dog and you'll get the #skinnydogs Hotword.
#smallchurches
#smallchurches is one of The Good Life Hotwords that's going to require a bit of travel. You're going to first need to complete the first few tasks of Route A to unlock the southeast of the map. After that, you'll need to head to a tiny church packed away in the hills between Deargshaw Forest and Dundaileass Falls -- take a picture of it and you'll score the Hotword.

We have not yet found a solution for the #spunkyoldmen Hotword.
#straitlacedfolks
The easiest way to get the #straitlacedfolks Hotword is by taking a picture of George Fakhoury at the Rainy Woods Veterinary Hospital.
#streetlampsatnight
As one might expect, you can get the #streetlampsatnight Hotword by taking a picture of Streetlamps at night.
#strongpeople
You can get the #strongpeople Hotword by heading down to Burley's Farm in the daytime and snapping a photo of its owner Lonette Burley.
#stylishhat
#stylishhat is one of the many The Good Life Hotwords that you can find inside Fancy & Bunny; simply take a picture of one of the hats in the clothing shop section of the store.
#stylishlights
We have not yet found a solution for the #stylishlights Hotword.
However, there are some nice-looking lights in the White Estate that may trigger this Hotword.
#sundayscenery
We have not yet found a solution for the #sundayscenery Hotword.
#thiccolderladies
To get the #thiccolderladies Hotword, all you need to do is take a picture of the Happy Scones owner Jan Yi Han in the Plaza or in the shed behind her house.
#tinkerers
The easiest way to get the #tinkerers Hotword is by heading to John's Repair Workshop in the Plaza and getting a picture of him working on some cameras during the daytime.
#twotypesofsheep
#twotypesofsheep is one of the more difficult The Good Life Hotwords to get, largely because you'll probably need to have acquired a Sheep Mount (which requires completing some early missions in Route A).
Once you have one, head to the location shown on the map above -- this has a different kind of Sheep that cannot be tamed (Romney Sheep) like the ones you can ride (Herdwick Sheep). Summon your own Sheep next to them, get both of them in the camera frame, and the Hotword should trigger.

We have not yet found a solution for the #vibrantgardens Hotword.
#waterfalllandscapes
We have not yet found a solution for the #waterfalllandscapes Hotword.
#weirdmanholecovers
Head down the road towards the Plaza and you can get the #weirdmanholecovers Hotword by taking a picture of the square manhole.
#womeneating
The easiest way to get the #womeneating Hotword is to visit the 1977 pub in the evening. You may catch the bartender Michelle O'Reilly having a meal after finishing work, but there appears to be a chance that she'll simply be having a drink instead.
Alternatively, you can visit any working women around lunchtime (12:00 PM) at places such as Fancy & Bunny and you may be able to score this picture there.
#womeninhats
You can pick up the #womeninhats Hotword by taking a picture of Rita Barrett; she can most easily be found in the Town Hall during the daytime.
As an alternative, you can head east into the woods and find Salome Macauley. She's a little more difficult to track down, though, as she likes to roam around the forest.
#workingbartenders
The #workingbartenders Hotword is easy as pie to get -- simply head to the 1977 pub in the Plaza and take a picture of the bartender Michelle O'Reilly.
#yuckyfood
This is one of The Good Life Hotwords that's a little more challenging to get -- getting #yuckyfood requires that Naomi fails at cooking something.
Your best bet is to unlock a new recipe from a restaurant to ensure that you have a low chance of success. Save the game at your bed and attempt to cook the food -- you'll get the "Yucky-Looking Food" tag and it will qualify for the Hotword.
#yummyshroomfood
There are quite a few items in Cooking that use mushrooms -- all you need to do is order one from the Mushroom & Evans Cafe and snap a picture to get the #yummyshroomfood Hotword.
#yummytoast
You can get the #yummytoast Hotword by ordering Toast from the Mushroom & Evans Cafe and Restaurant in the Plaza and taking it a picture of it. Alternatively, you can make the toast yourself in Naomi's home and take a picture of it there.
