Genshin Impact 1.4 Hangout Events Guide

With the introduction of Genshin Impact 1.4, there's new characters, new missions, and a new hangout system that lets you spend some quality time with a few of the important Genshin Impact characters. So far there are four characters available to spend time with and they are Barbara, Noelle, Chongyun, and Bennett.

How to unlock Genshin Impact Hangout Events?

Before you jump right into spending time with each of the above characters there are a few criteria that you need to complete before you're ready. You'll need to have completed the following requirements:

• Reach Adventure Rank 26
• Completed "Prologue: Act III - Song of the Dragon and Freedom"

Once you've cleared past the above steps then the Hangout Events will appear on the Story Events screen on a separate tab. For each character you want to spend time with you'll need to unlock their quest for 2 Story Keys. You're able to get a single key every two days, assuming you're completing your daily commission's quests, so that should mean even if you started this update with no Story Keys that you can still get access to all of the Hangout Events in 8 days.

Once unlocked you'll always have access to these events as it isn't timed. Feel free to take as long or short a time as you want to get through all of these Hangouts.

What are the Genshin Impact Hangout Events?

These events are played out as a mix of linear quests across the world, as well as visual novel style conversations between the Traveller and the chosen character. Along the way there will be times than you are prompted with split decisions, here the quest will change depending on your options leading to a number of different endings.

After reaching an ending you desire you'll have the chance to go back and re-explore the different paths, if you want to maximize your rewards you'll definitely be wanting to explore all options. While it can be a bit tedious to go back through quests that you've already completed the different results can be entertaining to explore. Which ending you land on in the end doesn't seem to have any effect on your standing with the character so it's not likely you'll see any large impact on your world depending on the Hangout Event's results.

What are the rewards for Genshin Impact Hangout Events?

While the Hangout Events are a fun chance to spend some time with characters while not in combat we're sure many of you are just here to find out what's in it for you. Being a mix of Visual Novel and exploration these events have split paths, the rewards that you gain are based on how many of each of the endings you're able to unlock.

You can use the knowledge of the above rewards before you unlock any of the Hangout Quests to make sure if there's an item up there you're searching for you can get that the earliest. As usual, the completion of each of these Hangout Quests will also mean that you'll get an in-game achievement. Completing all of them will net you even more Primogems.
