This guide tells you how to discover every Forever Skies Virus, what debuffs they can inflict, and how you can cure them if you get sick.
How Viruses Work
Each Forever Skies Virus confers a different set of debuffs on the player. Viruses can be caught by eating certain foods or by taking damage from certain hostile creatures.
At the start of the game, viruses will go away on their own. However, the player's immunity gradually worsens as you progress through the game; eventually, the only way you'll be able to get rid of a virus is by treating it with medicine.
How to Discover a Virus
Viruses can be discovered by putting a specific item in the Virus Sample Analyzer. The item is lost after the discovery process is complete. You must then play a minigame; successfully complete the minigame and you'll acquire an isolated sample of that Virus. Viruses can then be used to craft certain items.
The Virus is represented by a unique symbol in the Virus Sample Analyzer interface. You must select the correct options that will eliminate everything except for the Virus across three stages of analysis. If you fail, you're able to try again; if you succeed, however, you'll get a test tube with the Virus in it.
Once you've successfully isolated a Virus, you can produce more of it by putting the same item into the Virus Sample Analyzer, bypassing the minigame for all subsequent production of the Virus.
How to Cure a Virus
Once Viruses are discovered in Forever Skies, you can cure them by researching, crafting, and taking the appropriate medicine for that specific Virus.
