Our Forever Skies Crafting Materials Guide will tell you where to find the raw resources you'll need for crafting items and building your Airship.

Where to Find Forever Skies Crafting Materials

Here is where you can find the basic Forever Skies crafting materials that we've found thus far.

Biomass

The Biosmass Forever Skies Crafting Material

Biomass can first be found in the Greenhouse Tower point of interest. you won't practically be able to reach this tower until you have one or two Turbines on your Airship.

Later on, you'll find Biomass more commonly in Underdust Locations and overgrown points of interest. You can also find it by destroying the organic entity known as "The Wall" and flying pieces of Biomass in the area beyond that.

Chitin

The Chitin Crafting Material in Forever Skies

You can find Chitin by killing Impious Mantises, looting Blasphemous Mantises, and destroying Webling Larvae nests in the Wild Habitat, New Nature Territory, and Underdust Suburbs.

Chitin is necessary for crafting armor and getting important equipment upgrades such as a better backpack.

Copper

The Copper Crafting Material in Forever Skies

Generally speaking, Copper can only be found in the various different types of wind turbines found on the map. These are typically concentrated around the Wind Farm points of interest, but you can also find standalone wind turbines out in the world occasionally.

Energy Crystal

The Energy Crystal Crafting Material in Forever Skies

Energy Crystal is almost always found in and around Underdust locations; rarely, a Colossal Creature point of interest will reveal a cache of Energy Crystals above ground.

You'll need Energy Crystals for a lot of high-tech items, so you should expect to visit new instances of Underdust locations to meet your crafting needs.

Glass

The Glass Crafting Material in Forever Skies

Glass can typically be harvested from the broken windows of buildings; the Greenhouse Tower tends to have unusually large quantities of this Forever Skies crafting material.

Helium

The Helium Crafting Material in Forever Skies

Helium can only be found in Wind Farm points of interest and their variants. You can expect to find 5–10 units of Helium in a single Wind Farm.

Aside from some crafting recipes, Helium is necessary for expanding your Airship's balloon and building additional balloons. If you plan on building a big ship, you'll never want to pass up an opportunity to get some Helium.

Machine Scrap

The Machine Scrap Crafting Material in Forever Skies

Machine Scrap can only be found in the Workshop point of interest as of version 1.0 of Forever Skies; you can get it by using the cutter tool on the large white barrels and the electronics hidden in panel boxes in this point of interest.

Mantis Feces

The Mantis Feces Crafting Material in Forever Skies

Mantis Feces can only be found in quantity in the Underdust Suburbs. Unfortunately, these droppings tend to be protected by Icedews, so you'll want to bring a Hypothermia Booster with you if you intend to collect it in quantity.

You can use Mantis Feces to make Dust Fertilizer, a highly versatile item for farming.

Mantis Gland

The Mantis Gland Crafting Material in Forever Skies

You can find small quantities of Mantis Glands in the Underdust Suburbs. There isn't much use for them yet as of version 1.0.

Metals

The Metals Crafting Material in Forever Skies

Metals can be found throughout the world of Forever Skies; it's honestly quite difficult to miss it if you know where you're looking. Nearly every tower (and many Underdust points of interest) will have Metals somewhere inside.

Moss Needle

The Moss Needle Crafting Material in Forever Skies

Moss Needle can only be found in the later-game Underdust areas such as the Underdust Suburbs. It's only used for a handful of crafting recipes, so you needn't worry about collecting too much of it just yet.

Plant Oil

The Plant Oil Crafting Material in Forever Skies

Plant Oil can be found in the Greenhouse Tower in the early game of Forever Skies; you'll need an empty bottle in order to harvest it. Once you get Canola Multidogt Seeds, you can grow your own Canola and process it into Plant Oil using the Distiller.

Plant Resin

The Plant Resin Crafting Material in Forever Skies

Plant Resin can be naturally found in the Underdust Laboratory inside of plants that look like dark green pumpkins. After that, you can process the Dust Daisy plant into Plant Resin using the Distiller.

Preternatural Nucleus

The Preternatural Nucleus Crafting Material in Forever Skies

Preternatural Nucleus is a very rare resource that can only be found in the infected portions of Greenhouse Towers and, naturally, the Infected Greenhouse. You'll need an Immunity Booster to be able to survive getting close to it.

Removing all of the Preternatural Nucleus nodes in an infected area will permanently disable the toxic vines for that point of interest. Remember, you can still take damage from these red vines even with the Immunity Booster active!

Silicon

The Silicon Crafting Material in Forever Skies

Silicon is most typically found as part of the structures that look like satellite dishes or solar panels near the top layer of the Dust cloud. You should collect it at every opportunity as it's used for many important items later in the game.

Synthetics

The Synthetics Crafting Material in Forever Skies

Synthetics are ubiquitous in Forever Skies; aside from being found as floating yellow balls in the sky, you can also get them by destroying the yellow plastic jars found at many points of interest.
