Where to Find All Dredge Books & The Bonuses They Give

As you play through Dredge, exploring islands and talking to different people – you'll be given or receive books that you can read as you fish and explore the world. If you find everything there is to do in DREDGE, you’ll come across 12 different books to learn from. Here’s the full list of Dredge Books and where to get them. Read on, and we'll list out every book you can find in the game and the bonus you get from each, as well!

Dredge Books List & Locations

Sustainable Fishing

• Acquired By: Completing the Pursuit “Package Delivery” Successfully
• Bonus: 10% Chance to not reduce fish stocks when catching a fish with a rod.

Rods, Reels and Rigs

• Acquired By: Talking to the fishmonger after the first time you talk to The Collector.
• Bonus: Rods will reel fish in 10% more effectively.

Correct Engine Operation

• Acquired By: Talking to the Shipwright in Greater Marrow.
• Bonus: Engines Provide 5% more movement speed than listed

The Engineer’s Companion

• Acquired By:
• Bonus: Equipment types that use durability will lose it 10% Slower

The Relaxed Mind

• Acquired By: Talking to the Trader in Little Marrow a few times.
• Bonus: 10% Resilience to Panic

Getting Over It With Mind and Body

• Acquired By:
• Bonus: 15% Resilience to Panic

Art of the Silver Tongue

• Acquired By: Talking with the trader in you can find around the map, she’ll give it to you after you visit a few times.
• Bonus: 10% Increased Sell Prices and 10% reduced Buy Prices

A Plan for the Future

• Acquired By: Completing the “Researcher Assistant” Pursuit in Stellar Basin
• Bonus: 15% Chance to not reduce fish stocks when catching a fish with a rod.

Haggling and Bartering: A Guide

• Acquired By: Complete the “Figure in Blue” Pursuit
• Bonus: 5% Increased Sell Prices, and 5% Reduced Buy Prices

Nautical Engineering

• Acquired By: Completing the “Figure in Red” Pursuit  
• Bonus: Equipment Types that use durability will lose it 15% slower

Pushing the Limit: Engines

• Acquired By: Completing the “Figure in Purple” Pursuit  
• Bonus: Engines provide 7.5% more movement speed than listed.

Advanced Fishing

• Acquired By: Completing the “Figure in Gold” Pursuit
• Bonus: Rods will reel in fish 15% more effectively.

Book of Astral Symbols (Pale Reach DLC)

• Acquired By Completing the “Figure in White” Pursuit (Pale Reach DLC)
• Bonus: 10% Chance to not reduce fish stocks when catching a fish with a rod.

There you have it - every book in Dredge. While these aren't required to complete your journey, and there's no achievement for them, it's worth trying to acquire them all if you want to 100% the game!
