How Deiland Crafting Works

Deiland Crafting is fairly straightforward as these games go. You'll need to gather the correct items and use the correct workstation to make what you need.

How to Unlock More Items in Deiland

You can unlock more items in Deiland by completing quests and progressing the story. Sometimes, you'll have to craft or use a specific item to unlock more.

The building system works much in the same way -- you'll need to complete quests or use items to unlock new buildings. The lists below will break down how to unlock items (and how to craft them).

Deiland Crafting and Unlocks Guide - Forge

The Forge is unlocked by default and is where you'll make or upgrade your tools in Deiland.

Ax

• Ax 1
  • 1 Stone, 2 Wood
  • The third item blueprint given to you by Mûn. She gives you the Wood to craft it, but you'll need to get the Stone yourself using the Hammer.
• Ax 2
  • 5 Metal, 2 Wood
  • Unlocked after you meet Goliath for the first time after you defeat him.
• Ax 3
  • 2 Silver, 2 Wood
  • Given to you after you've cooked a chicken for Goliath for a quest.

Hoe

• Hoe 1
  • 1 Stone, 1 Wood
  • The first item blueprint given to you by Mûn. You have to craft it.
• Hoe 2
  • 5 Metal, 2 Wood
  • Unlocked after you've completed Bram's second quest.
• Hoe 3
  • 2 Silver, 2 Wood
  • Unlocked after delivering food to Hute.

Hammer

• Hammer 1
  • 1 Stone. 1 Wood
  • The second item blueprint given to you by Mûn. She also gives you the Hammer, so you don't have to craft it.

  • Unlocked after building the Workshop.

  • Unlocked after learning how to make Silver from Umi.

Bucket

Staff Spells

• Fire Magic
  • Costs 3 Crystal
  • Unlocked after crafting the Staff and shooting at Goliath's ship.
• Ice Magic
  • Costs 8 Crystal
  • Unlocked after crafting Staff 2.
• Thunderbolt Magic
  • Costs 5 Crystal
  • Unlocked after crafting Staff 3.
• Frog Magic
  • Costs 6 Crystal
  • Unlocked after crafting Staff 3.
  • Can only be used on enemies with low health. Gives you a Frog item after use.

Deiland Crafting and Unlocks Guide - Buildings

Buildings are unlocked after you've crafted a Hammer. Upgrading your Hammer will unlock some new buildings and allow you to mine stone faster, too.

  • Unlocked after crafting Hammer 2.

  • Unlocked when it rains for the first time.

• Fence

  • Unlocked after giving Bram a Bass for his first quest. Blocks monsters.

  • Given to you by Bram after completing his second quest to build 5 Fences.

  • Unlocked once you've talked to Yuki after Mûn talks about a rash of thefts. Needs to be built on the Lake.

  • Unlocked after building the Laboratory. Needs to be built on the cracked rock away from your home.

  • Unlocked after defeating the bees for Bram.

  • Unlocked after crafting Hammer 3.

Costs 50 Wood, 150 Stone, and 30 Metal to upgrade.

  • Learned after buying the first part of the Prince's story from Locke.
• Antidote
  • 2 Poisonous Liquid, 5 Acorn, 1 Alcohol.
  • Blueprint given to you after you've given Lily Poisonous Liquid for a quest.
• Gulliver Potion
  • 2 Giant Pumpkin, 10 Pine Nut, 1 Glass Bottle
  • Unlocked after completing Locke's quest requesting a Giant Pumpkin.
• Invisibility Potion
  • 10 Carrot, 2 Salmon, 1 Alcohol
  • Unlocked when Yuki returns after you've made her some Jello for a quest.
• Jelly
  • 2 Cherry, 2 Blueberry, 1 Healing Potion
  • Unlocked when Lily and Mûn meet for the first time.
• Juice
  • 3 Orange, 3 Blueberry, 2 Cherry
  • Given to you by Lily after you plant 5 Cherry trees for her quest.
• Protection Potion
  • 3 Ice, 2 Dandelion, 1 Glass Bottle
  • Unlocked after giving Nidawi 3 Icer, 2 Dandelion, and 1 Glass Bottle.

  • Unlocked after killing 3 Poisonous Mushroom monsters when Bram and Locke visit your planet at the same time.

There are a few other upgrades you can make in Deiland outside of your house and the buildings you can erect with your Hammer.

Field

The Fields are where you grow crops. You cannot add more fields than the three you begin the game with.

Crystal Altar

The Crystal Altar is a mysterious artifact that allows you to activate planet-wide buffs later in the game. Upgrading the Altar has no known effects as far as I can tell; it seems to be purely cosmetic.

Crystal Altar Prayers

Crystal Altar Prayers are buffs you can unlock after you meet Lily. You can only have one Prayer active at a time.

• Prayer for Protection
  • 1 Candle, 3 Bluetear, 5 Crystal
  • Reduces monster spawn rate.
  • Unlocked after you've defeated the carnivorous plants for Lily for a quest.
• Prayer for Rain
  • 1 Candle, 3 Hibiscus, 5 Crystal
  • Increases the chance that Rain will happen.
  • Unlocked after you've turned 3 monsters into frogs for one of Lily's quests.
• Prayer to Crystal
  • 1 Candle, 3 Daisy, 5 Crystal
  • Increases the chance that Meteorites will fall, thereby giving you more Crystal.
  • Unlocked after you've turned 3 monsters into frogs for one of Lily's quests.
