Shrine Battle: Shun Them Not - How to aid the Supplicants

The first time you visit a Shrine as the Leper in Darkest Dungeon 2, you’ll immediately relive an old battle. There, you’ll see four Supplicants who are sick. You can use abilities like Out of My Way or Royal Stride to move forward.

Once in front, use Embrace on a Supplicant to help them. While this is going on, the Advisors who are supposed to be on your side will also cause you to shuffle backwards. Just keep moving in front to Embrace the remaining Supplicants.

After completing this Shrine battle, you’ll receive the Break skill.

Just keep moving forward to heal the sick.

Shrine Battle: The Purge - How to eliminate the Traitorous Advisors

The goal is to take out all four Traitorous Advisors. Focus on one target at a time and use Blind Fury. Once an enemy has a combo token, use Executioner’s Swing against him.

If a target has dodge, cast Denounce Treachery on them. Likewise, if you end up with a bleed token or if you’re low on health, use Calm Sea. Winning here grants the Hew skill for the Leper.

The Best Leper Skills | Darkest Dungeon 2

The Leper is a beefy character who can sustain himself for prolonged periods in a fight. The downside is that his offensive capabilities do suffer due to getting so many blind tokens. Although there are abilities that remedy this, you’ll still want to rely on teammates to apply combo tokens on enemies. Foes that have a combo token will allow you to ignore the blind status when you attack with certain skills, though the status effect will still be applied after your turn.

In any case, here are our picks for the best Leper skills in Darkest Dungeon 2:

  • Withstand - This is your basic taunt skill with some defensive buffs.
  • Solemnity - This is your basic HP and Stress healing ability.
  • Reflection - The skill is an alternative since it also has a Stress heal effect, while removing a blind token, too.
  • Bash - Great for debuffing two enemies and applying combo tokens.
  • Ruin - If you get hit, you deal more damage.
  • Purge - Knock back a foe and pop a combo token on them. You can clear corpses with this, too.
