Cyberpunk 2077 has a ton of options for potential character builds. Players always tend to experiment with various playstyles, and there being so many options at your disposal, it's only natural that CD Projekt Red offers players a chance to do a classic respec for V. Of course, CD Projekt Red put their own spin on things, one that makes the prospect of respecing V into a pretty difficult choice. So here is how you do it.
Finding the Tabula E-Rasa
The first thing you need to do is to gain access to the Tabula E-Rasa, a memory shard that is available for sale at any Ripperdoc in Night City. The item is a legendary item, where it grants the player the ability to respec their perk points at any time. The big catch, of course, is the price, being 100,000 eddies—a pretty steep asking price all things considered.
The price alone is what makes this a pretty difficult choice, as that is money on the table that can be used for upgrades and new equipment. We have a guide for making some easy eddies, but the grind through side gigs, NCPD reports, and simply selling junk found around the city may lead a massive amount of work just to respec.
To top it all off, the Tabula E-Rasa only resets your perk points, not your attributes. You only get 50 attribute points in the game, and once they are locked into a stat they stay there, so definitely choose your attributes wisely.
Body Modifications Possible in Cyberpunk 2077
Another part that players always look to 'respec' in a way is their look. A game like Cyberpunk 2077 is all about look and style. How you dress, what your hair color is, even the amount of tattoos and cyberware comes into play. While the character creations options are pretty robust, once you build your character, you cannot change your appearance at all in-game.
This seems like a major oversight from CD Projekt Red, one that I am sure they will rectify with some updated content over time. Still, the fact that players can't play around with the look of V once you are in Night City is pretty surprising. In fact, the relative restrictions to respecing in Cyberpunk 2077 is pretty surprising as a whole, considering how much of the game focuses heavily on being a power fantasy.
Still though, knowing where to find the option to respec perks will help out a lot of players, so if you have the eddies, go for it and experiment with builds to your heart's content!
