Core Keeper Go-Kart Guide - cover

This Core Keeper Go-Kart Guide will tell you how to unlock Go-Karts, how to craft each Kart, and which Go-Kart is the best in the game!

How to Unlock the Core Keeper Go-Kart

You can unlock Go-Karts in Core Keeper by exploring all three areas outside of the magical wall that isolates the center of the map. First, you'll have to defeat Glurch the Abominable MassGhorm the Devourer, and the Hive Mother to get the items you need to get the Core powered up again.

Once that's done, it's time to travel to the three outer biomes. You'll need Scarlet Bars from Azeos' Wilderness, Coral Planks from The Sunken Sea, and Galaxite Bars from The Desert of Beginnings. You can then Craft a Galaxite Workbench and then the Go-Kart Workbench.

How to Craft a Go-Kart in Core Keeper

You can Craft a Go-Kart at a Go-Kart Workbench, a workbench which costs 70 Coral Planks, 35 Galaxite Bars, and 20 Scarlet Bars. The Go-Karts themselves are quite expensive, too, so get ready to go mining!

Primitive Go-Kart

  • Common
  • 100 Tin Bar
  • 100 Copper Bar
  • 30 Mechanical Part

Note: Primitive Go-Karts can be found abandoned on racetracks in The Desert of Beginnings. It's better to search for them in the wild rather than waste materials Crafting them.

Renegade Go-Kart

  • Uncommon
  • 380 Galaxite Bar
  • 250 Iron Bar
  • 250 Copper Bar
  • 70 Mechanical Part

Speeder Go-Kart

  • 380 Galaxite Bar
  • 250 Scarlet Bar
  • 250 Copper Bar
  • 70 Mechanical Part

What is the Best Core Keeper Go-Kart?

The best Go-Kart in Core Keeper is the Speeder Go-Kart in terms of speed. However, that high speed comes at a cost -- the Speeder Go-Kart tends to drift when you're turning at top speed; it's much more difficult to control.

As a point of comparison, the Renegade Go-Kart is slower but has superior handling and faster acceleration. The Speeder Go-Kart is king in all situations where you don't need to worry about making tight turns.

What Happens if You Die in a Go-Kart in Core Keeper?

If you die in a Go-Kart, a Tombstone will be created on the ground as normal. Your Go-Kart will remain where it was when you died and you'll have to retrieve it.
