Our Chef RPG Gifts Guide will tell you the Favorite Gifts of characters and how you can increase friendship with the townspeople!
There are a lot of people in Chef RPG's town of White Ash Harbor. The merchants love to sell you ingredients and they're all excited to help you learn how to cook, and you can return the favor to them by giving them special gifts. Read on to learn all about gifts and how to increase your friendship with other characters!
How to Increase Friendship in Chef RPG
There are two known ways to increase friendship in Chef RPG:
- Talking to an NPC
- Giving an NPC gifts
It is unknown if using the "Shop" button with merchants will increase their friendship level in the same way as if you talked to them. Therefore, the safest thing to do is to make sure that you actually use the "Talk" button once per day, too.
We're not quite sure if completing quests for characters will increase their friendship, either. Quests often have tangible rewards, so they're worth doing anyway.
Finally, we don't know if the gift value or its quality (Common, Rare, Epic, etc.) has any effect on how much it increases your friendship with a character. That said, most games follow the convention of giving bigger relationship boosts for higher-quality gifts, so I think that Chef RPG gifts probably act in the same way.
Raising your friendship level to "Friend" with shopkeepers is necessary to activate the ability for them to deliver products to your restaurant automatically with the "Supply Chain" skill.
How to Give Gifts
Unlike other games, Chef RPG doesn't allow you to give gifts to NPCs right away. You'll have to talk with them every day for multiple days to raise their friendship level to "Acquaintance." Once you do, you'll get a new "Give Gift" button when talking to a character.
You can only give a character one gift per day. If you give anything other than a character's favorite gift multiple times, they may give you clues to help you figure out their favorite gift.
Characters often enjoy gifts that relate to their work or personality. For example, Bea the bartender enjoys Alcohol items and Milo the clothing merchant enjoys Clothing items. You can tell the type of an item by looking at its tooltip.
