This Chef RPG Building Guide will tell you how to purchase a home, how to upgrade your restaurant, and how to build research facilities!

Once you've grasped the basics of Chef RPG and started collecting ingredients, you'll probably wish that you had a little more room for customers in your restaurant. Fortunately, there's a way to make it bigger and improve your recipes — let's explore how the building system works!

How to Unlock Building in Chef RPG

You can unlock Chef RPG building features and upgrades by progressing the story. After you've had your soft opening, you'll get the ability to repair the floor at the Town Hall. Complete your grand opening and you'll progress to Act 2, opening up the ability to go into the beach caves, buy a house, and upgrade your restaurant.

Unfortunately, getting research facilities is a little more difficult — you'll need to take the appropriate skills before you can purchase them.

How Chef RPG Building Works

The Chef RPG building system is fairly straightforward. Buying a house, upgrading your restaurant, changing your restaurant's flooring, or building a research facility can happen instantly or it can take up to 2 days. You will be warned about any waiting.

You must speak with Prisca in the Town Hall to begin the building process. You'll have to pay Credits when it comes to upgrading your restaurant for the first time or for the initial purchase of your home. The second restaurant upgrade and the first house upgrade will cost Credits and Power Cells.

Upgrading the restaurant will cause all of the placed furniture and cooking stations to be removed; you'll have to redesign your restaurant. Make sure to plan accordingly!

As for your new house, it won't have any furniture at all aside from a small storage closet. At the minimum, you'll want to buy a bed from La Galerie so you can actually sleep in your house. It's also a good place to store alcohol brewing equipment so you're not taking up valuable space in your restaurant.

Research facilities cannot be built until you've taken the "Research Facilities" skill; this opens up access to your choice of 1 of 3 different research facilities. (You can swap out to a different research facility at any time, though you won't get a refund.) Taking the "Gourmet Gastronomy" skill will allow you to choose 1 of another 3 distinct research facilities.

Unlike the house and restaurant, building research facilities will cost materials as well as Credits. Most of the necessary materials can be found in the beach caves, volcano caves, and the wilderness.
