This guide will show you the Brighter Shores Hopeforest Map for Episode 2 and highlight the notable places that you can visit while you're there.

Once you've grasped the basics of Brighter Shores, you'll soon find yourself wanting to leave the region of Hopeport. Grind your Guard level and complete some other tasks, and you'll gain access to the Episode 2's Hopeforest region — a mysterious vale filled with trees, plants to gather, and deadly enemies. Read on to see the map and learn where you can go!

Brighter Shores Hopeforest Map

Brighter Shores Hopeforest Map with TechRaptor Watermark

The Brighter Shores Hopeforest Map extends vertically, making it twice as tall (and nearly twice as large) as the Hopeport map. Human settlements are sparse, and the region is filled with trees, wild plants, and hostile enemies that are all too ready to tear you to pieces if you're not careful.

Much of the Hopeforest Map will be closed off when you first enter the area; you need to complete some basic objectives before you'll be able to roam and explore. Even then, you'll be blocked from some zones by various obstacles that can only be removed by leveling up your professions or completing certain quests.

Notable Brighter Shores Hopeforest Locations

Here are the notable locations you can visit on the Brighter Shores Hopeforest map:

Barricades

The Barricades are a blockade that prevents anyone from heading into the Mines. You'll have to complete Episode 2 (and purchase the Premium Pass) to get access to this area.

Cliffside Path

The Cliffside Path is where you'll find one of your hapless comrades ensnared by a spider.

Crystal Clearing

The Crystal Clearing is a source of foul magic in the region; the Dryad will need your help to collect specific items in order to cleanse the dark magic from it.

Cyclops Path

We don't yet know where the Cyclops Path leads to, but it doesn't seem that you can go through this way at any point in Episode 2 as far as we can tell.

Dryad Glade

The Dryad Glade is where you'll meet the Dryad, an enigmatic figure who will eventually help you join a faction and clear up the corruption in the forest.

Goblin Camp

The Goblin Camp is where you'll find the Hopeforest Obelisk for attuning your weapons and armor to this region. As the name implies, it is also filled with incredibly hostile goblins.

Hopeforest Central Portal Stone

The Hopeforest Central Portal Stone is the first Portal Stone that you'll find in the region. Unfortunately, it's placed quite far away from many of the places you'll want to visit such as Timberwell Green.

Hopeforest Ferry

The Hopeforest Ferry leads to a small, secluded area on the other side of the river; you'll use it as part of the quest to cleanse the Giant Crystal.

Hopeforest North Portal Stone

The Hopeforest North Portal Stone is inaccessible until you progress some of the side quests in the region; unfortunately, it is blocked by dark magic that probably won't be removed until you complete these quests.

Magic Cave

The Magic Cave is where you'll make a choice to join one of three factions after you meet the Dryad in the Dryad Glade.

Road to Hopeport

As you might expect, the Road to Hopeport leads back to Hopeport.

Road to Nowhere Much / Peat Bog

The Road to Nowhere Much is protected by a strange sort of magic that prevents you from going north until you advance some of the side quests in the region.

Timberwell Green

Timberwell Green is the human settlement in the region. You'll find shops for general supplies as well as businesses that support the Woodcutter and Carpenter professions.

Two Headed Bear Clearing

The Two Headed Bear Clearing is a clearing with a rather unusual bear in it; you'll visit it as part of your quest to cleanse the Giant Crystal.
