How the Chef Profession Works in Brighter Shores

Unlike some other Professions, Chef in Brighter Shores mostly exists solely to make money. You can start leveling Chef by heading to the back of the Delectable Dab in Hopeport, which is found just outside the Training Ground and opposite the Apothecary.

In the Delectable Dab Kitchen, you'll have access to a number of crafting stations, with certain dishes requiring different preparation methods. Which methods are required can be seen in the recipe book next to the Preperation Table.

Where to Get Ingredients

Ingredients for recipes come from a few sources.

• Forager and Gatherer are used for many ingredients such as vegetables.
• A lot of dishes require fishes, which are caught via the Fisherman Hopeport Profession.
• Some ingredients can only be bought via Kevin's Ingredients, which is found just outside the Delectable Dab in Stone Street.

How to Level Up the Brighter Shores Chef Profession Fast

There are a few ways to approach Chef leveling. The most simple way is to just focus on the highest level recipe — either one that requires gathered ingredients, or one that can be made using only items purchased from Kevin's Ingredients. The latter gives less profit, but also saves time on gathering.

Ideally, you'll want to level up Chef alongside the gathering Professions, since you'll be grinding a lot of items to level those up too. Some recipes like Jellied Eels only require you to buy Gelatin on top of the caught Eels, with the final result giving a lot of profit.

Chef's Bounty Board

At Chef level 9, you'll unlock access to the Chef's Bounty Board. Found in the Delectable Dab Kitchen, the bounty board offers a rotating set of four bounties that give you extra Chef XP and money for handing dishes to clients.

It's generally worth aiming for these bounties as the XP rewards really speed up leveling. Bounties reset every hour, so it can be worth checking in even when leveling up other Professions in Hopeport.
