Early on in Blue Prince, you'll find yourself stumbling into the Billiard Room. This is an early room that is easy to consistently get multiple minor keys, a major key, or a key card to help expand the mansion more easily. Here we'll take you through each of the different rules of the dartboard mini-game in the Blue Prince Billiard Room.

Approaching the dart board, you'll see different sections highlighted with different colors. Each color, along with the number at the edge of the wedge it, represents what you need to do with the equation starting from close to the bullseye and moving towards the edge of the ring.

These puzzles begin as simple as a blue wedge in the center of the board telling you to add six, and then the next wedge being a yellow four telling you to subtract four from the total. Breaking it into the simple formula 0 + 6 - 4 = 2 means you need to select 2 to proceed to the next equation.

A hint for the most basic aspect of this puzzle can be found if you're looking hard enough

As you continue to complete these puzzles through subsequent visits more and more layers are added onto the puzzle. At first you'll only be performing simple functions based on color wedges, but then modifiers will get added to the bullseye as well as the outer rim of the board.

Dartboard Puzzle Rules

All of the rules for puzzle solving are listed below:

  • Start from the middle with your number at 0 and work your way out
  • If multiple steps are in the same ring complete them all at the same time

  • Wedge Math Symbols
    • Blue Wedge - Add the number at the end of the wedge to your current number
    • Yellow Wedge - Subtract the number at the end of the wedge from your current number
    • Pink Wedge =-Multiple your current number by the number at the end of the wedge
    • Purple Wedge - Divide your current number by the number at the end of the wedge

  • Bullseye Symbols - You complete these requirements after finishing the instructions on that color ring
e.g if the Bullseye has the blue color you'd complete a blue wedge instruction, and then perform the action that the Bullseye indicates
    • Square - After completing the wedges of that color, square the resulting number
    • Diamond - After completing the wedges of that color, invert the digits
      e.g 13 + 18 = 31, inverting the numbers becomes 13. If you have a three digit number like 100 it would become 001, or simply 1
    • Single Wavy Line - Round the number to the nearest One
    • Double Wavy Line - Round the number to the nearest Ten
    • Triple Wavy Line - Round the number to the nearest Hundred
    • Multiple Instructions - If you see two instructions you should always perform the one on the interior first
I.e if a Square is within double wavy lines then you'd square the resulting number at the end of that color and then round it to the nearest Ten

  • Rim Symbols - Symbols on the Rim apply to every instruction within that wedge
    • Red X - Ignore every instruction on this wedge
    • Red Strike - For each instruction only use half the number on the wedge
    • Two Red Circles - Perform each instruction on this wedge twice
