Avowed Treasure Map Item Locations Guide

In this guide, we'll tell you where to find the Avowed Treasure Map items that are located in the four main regions of The Living Lands.

How Treasure Maps Work

Each Avowed Treasure Map leads you to a Unique Item (and occasionally other loot) somewhere in the region where you found the Treasure Map. Treasure Maps can be purchased from certain merchants or found as loot in the world.

Avowed is certainly a game that rewards exploration. For example, you can find two Treasure Maps in Dawnshore right at the very start of the zone. The first Treasure Map is sold by one of the merchants at Claviger's Landing, and the second Treasure Map can be found on some scaffolding on the nearby Lighthouse.

Picking up a Treasure Map will automatically start a Treasure Map Quest in your Journal. If you happen to find the treasure without getting the associated Treasure Map, you will automatically complete the Treasure Map Quest without having to find or purchase the map.

Avowed Treasure Map Item Locations

Here are the locations of the Unique Items (and other loot) that you can find with each Avowed Treasure Map, separated by region.

Dawnshore Treasure Map Item Locations

• Treasure Map - Captain Henqua's Spoils
  • Treasure Map Found at: Located on a skeleton on the scaffolding of the Lighthouse to the west of Claviger's Landing
  • Treasure Item: Wind and Wave (Off-Hand Shield)
  • Treasure Location: In an underwater cave next to a branch in the river east of the Old Pagrun Wall
• Treasure Map - Intimidating Feline Codpiece
  • Treasure Map Found at: Purchased from Lynna at Claviger's Landing for 100 Skeyt
  • Treasure Item: Staelgar's Pride (Medium Armor)
  • Treasure Location: In a boarded-up cave underneath the Watcher's Mirror on the eastern cliff
• Treasure Map - Woedica's Inheritance
  • Treasure Map Found at: ?
  • Treasure Item: Gloves of the Strangler (Gloves)
  • Treasure Location: Behind a secret door on the outer wall of Paradis, slightly southwest of the Paradis Hightown gate

Emerald Stair Treasure Map Item Locations

• Treasure Map - Earthy Aegis
  • Treasure Map Found at: In a treasure chest northwest of the Nadu Tedek Grounds
  • Treasure Item: Nature's Ward (Off-Hand Shield)
  • Treasure Location: Located in the Godless Ruins tower southwest of Tama's Cabin behind a hidden door. The switch for the door is on the opposite side of the tower from the door next to a hole in the tower wall covered by branches where you can see the chest.
• Treasure Map - Practical Pockets
  • Treasure Map Found at: Purchased from Ector Brewer at the Gifted Magpie in Fior mes Iverno for 660 Skeyt
  • Treasure Item: Hjilde's Handy Hide (Light Armor)
  • Treasure Location: Found northeast of the Ranger Headquarters, slightly southeast of the small pond
• Treasure Map - Painter's Regret
  • Treasure Map Found at: Found in the house north of the Maxim's Claim Party Camp and slightly southeast of the Farmer's Market. The Treasure Map is the painting on an easel inside the house.
  • Treasure Item: Painter's Brush
  • Treasure Location: Found by passing through a breakable wall outside of the Waterfall Cave west of Fior mes Iverno

Shatterscarp Treasure Map Item Locations

• Treasure Map - Dead Man's Mail
  • Treasure Map Found at: Found on a skeleton in a tent on the capital "S" in Sea for the Great Sand Sea on the Shatterscarp map
  • Treasure Item: Necropants (Medium Armor)
  • Treasure Location: Directly North East of Tago's Tower beacon in Shark's Teeth. There is a building with a broken, slanted pillar on the side. Walk up that, tunr the corner and there is a chest with the Necropants inside.​​​​​​​
• Treasure Map - Seafarer's Boots
  • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Treasure Map Found at: Found on a blanket next to an NPC named Loato a short distance northeast of Thirdborn
  • Treasure Item: Wavebinder Boots
  • Treasure Location: Found in a cave at the end of a stream to the east of the Sulfur Mines.
• ​​​​​​​Treasure Map - Robe of the Arcane Cheater​​​​​​​
  • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Treasure Map Found at: ​​​​​​​Purchased from Ihaka at the Thrifty Pig (the merchant on the western side of the cliff where Tago's Tower is located) for 1,680 Skeyt
  • Treasure Item: Robes of Surpassing Brilliance
  • Treasure Location: Located on the high ground east of the small pool of water directly south of the word "Ancient" in "Ancient Lakebed" on the map. You need to approach from the eastern high ground and drop down into the cave covered with purple mushrooms.​

Galawain's Tusks Treasure Map Locations

• Treasure Map - The Blade that Hungers
  • Treasure Map Found at: Purchased from Bulti at the Shrine to Woedica in Solace Keep for 4,032 Skeyt
  • Treasure Item: Umbral Needle
  • Treasure Location: Found in a chest at the very top of the map - there's a nearby spider cave, and the entrance to a hidden cave is direcly north of the "h" in Ash Forest.
• ​​​​​​​Treasure Map - My Loyal Shield
  • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Treasure Map Found at: Purchased from Stockkeeper Eberk at Warden Quartermaster's Supplies in the Southern Warden Tower for 5,220 Skeyt
  • Treasure Item: Time's Tarnish
  • Treasure Location: Found in the Godless Ruins tower south of the Outcast Tower Camp. Climb up the cliffs to the top of the tower and hit the switch on the altar to get inside.
• Treasure Map - Ancient Arrowhead
  • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Treasure Map Found at: Found in a cave west of Writhing Ruins next to the Bounty Target Mater Mare. The map is on a skeleton wearing blue rags next to the water.
  • Treasure Item: Scout's Reach (Amulet)
  • Treasure Location: Directly East, and very close to the words "Warden's Rest" on the map. There's a cliff you need to walk around, and the chest is perching near the edge. Line up your sight with the Keep based on how it looks on the treasure map if you need help with directions.
