Avowed Dawnshore Map and Locations Guide

This guide will show you the full Avowed Dawnshore Map and highlight notable locations that you'll visit in the first major zone of Avowed.

Avowed Dawnshore Map

The Avowed Dawnshore Map is largely a forested area that is easy to travel. That's not to say it's without its dangers, though — bandits, wild animals, Xaurips, and the Dreamscourge can be found at various locations in the wilderness outside of town.

Notable Dawnshore Locations

Here are some of the notable locations you'll visit in Dawnshore.

Castol's Folly

Castol's Folly is home to a group of smugglers. You will visit this location as part of the Dawnshore Side Quest "Precious Light." You should expect to encounter several humanoid fighters on this island if you travel here.

Claviger's Landing

Claviger's Landing is the docks where you begin the game. You can find Gianna's Shipment in the warehouse here for the Dawnshore Side Quest "A Lady Never Tells." There are also a few shops with limited stock to tide you over until you unlock Paradis by completing the Main Story Quest "Message from Afar."

Dehengen's Cottage

Dehengen's Cottage is home to Dehengen, a woman who needs your help with Xaurips invading your home for the Dawnshore Side Quest "Cabin Fever."

Godless Altar

The Godless Altar is where you'll find the first Fragment of Starmetal, an item that can be used to make one or two Unique Items when you reach Shatterscarp, the fourth zone.

Take note that the enemies are much tougher here than on the western side of Dawnshore. You should not approach this area until you've upgraded your equipment to Fine Quality.

Paradis

Paradis is the main settlement in Dawnshore. You won't be able to access any part of Paradis until you've completed the Main Story Quest "Message from Afar" by finding the Ambassador and the Claviger in The Strangleroot.

Paradis Hightown

Paradis Hightown is the internal portion of the city of Paradis with its own separate map and fast-travel points. You'll find multiple shopkeepers here selling Fine quality equipment and a few Unique Items, along with the opportunity for several sidequests.

Pargrun Cache

The Pargrun Cache has a number of useful supplies in it. Pargrun Caches can be found throughout The Living Lands.

Pilgrim's Path

Pilgrim's Path takes you to ancient ruins that serve as a temple to Eothas, one of the many gods of the world. You'll travel here as part of the quest "Dawntreader." You should prepare to be in this location for at least an hour of real-world time, so make sure you're properly prepared.

Runyd's House

Runyd's House is home to the Watcher Runyd; she'll be able to tell you about your past lives when you visit her as part of the story.

Shantytown

Shantytown is exactly what it says on the tin — a makeshift collection of structures on the outside of Paradis and one of the few places you can access before completing the Main Story Quest "Message from Afar."

There are some good opportunities for early-game Side Quests here, including the Side Quest "Escape Plan."

Shrine to Woedica

The Shrine to Woedica has the Scales of the Oathbinder Totem, an item that you can put in your Party Camp to give you a buff once you've collected the missing Totem pieces.

The Strangleroot

The Strangleroot is the first major location you'll want to visit after setting up your Party Camp for the first time. The Main Story Quest "Message from Afar" requires you to travel here and rescue the Ambassador and the Claviger after an expedition goes wrong.
