Atomfall Slatten Dale Map

Atomfall Slatten Dale Map with Marked Points of Interest and TechRaptor Watermark

The Atomfall Slatten Dale map covers the first major region you'll explore at the start of the game. This is where you'll begin your journey to find The Interchange and unlock the mysteries of the Windfall Plant and the people behind it.

There is some mild danger here; thankfully, the deadliest enemies are located far away in other regions.

Notable Slatten Dale Locations

Here are the notable locations you'll visit in Slatten Dale and what you can expect to find inside.

Bunker

The starting Bunker is where you'll wake up with no memory. You can find a single enemy, your first melee weapons, and a handful of crafting resources here; otherwise, you won't be spending very long in this bunker.

Several doors are locked behind unpowered doors; you can gain access to these doors by acquiring a Signal Redirector and returning to the starting Bunker.

Bunker L6

Bunker L6 is the first location you'll likely visit that is infested with Ferals in large numbers. It is ill-advised to visit this Bunker until you are comfortable with melee combat or you have a gun; the Ferals in here will hit like a truck if you wake them up from their cocoons.

Ferals aside, this location has a fair amount of loot and a Pneumatic Tube.

Bunker L7

Bunker L7 is your first opportunity to get your hands on a gun and some Training Stimulants to improve your Skills. You can also find your first Pneumatic Tube here, which is Atomfall's equivalent of a stash system.

Be careful heading into this Bunker, though — one or two Outlaws will spawn outside, and there is a single Feral inside. Ferals are especially tough in melee combat and surprisingly fast, so make sure to save before you confront it!

Convoy Wreckage

The Convoy Wreckage is where you can find several important clues about the mystery of The Interchange and some loot. It's worth visiting it to loot it, though you should be careful of Outlaws in the surrounding area as always.

Helicopter Crash Site

The Helicopter Crash Site is the first major point of interest you're likely to come across since it's right outside of the starting bunker. You'll likely encounter your first enemy here; one or two Outlaws will be patrolling this crash site.

In addition to loot, you can find a key here that can be used to open a lockbox elsewhere.

The Interchange

The northeast of the Slatten Dale map is where you'll find the entrance to The Interchange, a series of underground tunnels that connects all of the regions in the game. You can also find a Pneumatic Tube on the other side of this door to store your gear.

Outlaw Camp

The Outlaw Camp on the northeast side is an obstacle that you'll have to overcome if you want to make your way to The Interchange or Wyndham Village. There are some good opportunities to find loot here, but you'll have to watch out for bands of patrolling Outlaws.

Outlaw's Cave

The Outlaw's Cave has some decent loot in it, but you'll have to fight at least five or six Outlaws to get it safely. This location doesn't have much else to see beyond loot and enemies that will eventually respawn.

Railyard

The Railyard is one of the many abandoned areas that is occupied by Outlaws across the entire northern part of the map. It is somewhat more difficult to find cover here as opposed to other points of interest, so make sure to move carefully.

Sewer Entrance

The Sewer Entrance marks one of the entrances into the Sewer Tunnels, a secondary hub region that serves as one of the shortcuts to other regions.

Sewer Tunnels

The Sewer Tunnels have two entrances in Slatten Dale; these connect to the underground sewer system that links together multiple regions. You'll likely encounter some enemies and pests as you explore this area.

Unfortunately, you can't truly unlock the full potential of the Sewer Tunnels until you open up all of the doors with the right keys and explore alternate entrances such as the one in Casterfell Woods.

Slate Mine Caves (Reg Stansfield)

The Slate Mine Caves appear scary at first, but there isn't much in the way of danger save for a colony of bats that you can easily outrun. You can find the merchant Reg Stansfield here; he'll sell you the Metal Detector and other tools.

This location serves as a shortcut between the southern and northern halves of Slatten Dale, and you can also take a third exit to the neighboring region of Skethermoor. The Skethermoor exit also puts you pretty close to the Skethermore Cottage Cellar puzzle and a deadly B.A.R.D. Robot equipped with a flamethrower.

Trade Camp (Molly Jewitt)

The northwestern trade camp is home to Molly Jewitt, a perky trader who has set up in a ruined building. Molly is a reliable source of pistol ammo and shotgun ammo for your guns, but that's not all — she is also a reliable source of information who will give you tips about the surrounding area after your first few trades.

Molly Jewitt sells a key to a Concrete Shelter in Slatten Dale. Additionally, she will sell the Torch and Metal Detector if you haven't already acquired those items.

Waterwheels

Waterwheels is another ruined village area that is occupied by Outlaws. As with all areas in the north, move through the area carefully if you're not prepared for a fight.

Wyndham Village

Wyndham Village is one of the only true "safe" zones in Atomfall, and even that comes with some caveats. The Protocol guards and B.A.R.D. robots will usually leave you alone, but you can quickly find yourself getting shot at if you're trespassing in a restricted area.
